Well I fixed the problem myself by taking yhe cover off and cleaning the laser with a cue tip and alchohol very gently of course. I guess it was not reading the disc the first time it closed because some foreign object , works fine now

You can try to release the drawer and get it all the way out. Then turn of the power and carefully push the drawer back inside. Then turn the power on again. This might help!
SOURCE: I have a Technics 5 disc CD player. The loading
Unplug the units power, unscrew and remove the top. it has 3 screws on the back and I believe 2 in each side. Look to see if anything such as a CD is jamming or preventing the tray from opening.
If there isn't something like a CD physically blocking the door mechanism then the issue could be anything from a slipping drive band a dead motor or something has gone wrong with the mainboard.
The "expected" life of an audio component is 5-9 years. If its past 3 years old its generally not worth repairing as 1 hour labor and a motor for instance would cost you more than the cost of a new unit.
Hope that helps
SOURCE: CD player does not recognise some CDs
I have two of these Tascam CD-A500 players, and one more than the other has this problem of not reading some CDs that will play fine in other players. I'm starting to loose faith in this Tascam product. Anyway, seems the consensus is to open it up and check for dirty laser optics. If that doesn't fix the problem, then send it in for repair or scrap it and buy a different brand. I've not had this problem with any other brand CD player, but very suspicious that the same problem happens on BOTH of my Tascam CD-A500 units.
