Just bought a craig portable dvd player with lcd tv. dvd plays movies fine but cant figure out how to get a signal for tv. WILL NOT PICK UP OVER THE AIR SIGNAL

The word "Digital" means, that device have digital processor circuit inside, which uses only for signal processing. Not mean that it will pickup digital signals. You did misunderstand that word. That's all.

portble dvd player have no tuner card.you connect external tuner card and connect any antenna or cable tv wire after you get tv channels. thank you.

Please check weather the DVD which your inserted i supported by the player.?
If someother movies plays then the problem is with the DVD which your inserted.The DVD might have not burnt in correct formatt.

Make sure you have the cables hook up right. If you are running component mode it takes three for video blue red and white ends. If you are running composite it takes red, white, and yellow.

That is one problem with buying open box or display models. Ive learned the hardway myself. I'm guessing if this is the case you did not get a warranty with the item either.

The only thing I can suggest is that you buy a replacement remote from the manufactor. Seems proscan products are made by RCA.

Are you using a HDMI to DVI cable or are you using a HDMI to DVI adapter? Sometimes, though not on all products you have to go into the menu and select which out put your using for each source and whats going through it. You might need to go into your dvd player menu and tell it not to try to run audio through the cable. That way it's not trying to force a signal through the cable that cant be accepted by the TV. That might possible solve your problem for the DVD player. Let me know if it works

Did you turn on the input of the tv to receive 'external' input.? Did you plug the DVD into the right input?

If your DVD player is less then a year old, still under manufacturers warranty. I would suggest to call the manufacturers to get the name of an authorized dealer near you to fix it.

the problem sounds like its with the s video connection, try using the composite video input

My screen would flicker when you tilted it back and forth. Sometimes it would cut out and moving it would make it come back on. I took the battery off and opened the screen from the front(2 screws in hinge & 2 screws under rubber plugs). There is a ribbon plug inside. Mine looked kinked in one spot so I just repositioned it so the kink was in another spot. Everything worked fine after that. Hope this helps.
