If UPS is displaying "Site Fault", it is doing its job correctly. You need to check the wall receptacle. Probably hot and neutral reversed, or the neutral and ground are reversed, by whom ever installed the wall receptacle.

Hi, here is the documentation page for the 9120 where you can find the manual: http://powerquality.eaton.com/Products-services/legacy/9120-info.asp You can also contact customer support 800 356 5737 or [email protected]. You may recognize the product as the Powerware 9120 but Powerware was bought by Eaton a few years ago. The customer support team is most ex Powerware and are familiar with the 9120.

2001 ford ranger , no high or low beam lights

Check the On/Off switch on the dash, steering column, and the steering arm/lever is connected properly and that the lighting cable's are cable connectors are connected and not corroded.
1, To check the Earth: Connect a cable from the earth of the bulb to the chassis/body/ metal part of the car.
2, Using a Test lamp: Disconnect the cable that connects the power to the head light bulb, Connect one end of the test lamp to any one of the connectors at the end of the cable that plug's into the bulb. With the low beam on, only one of these wire's will the light switch turned on will light up the test lamp bulb. If none of the cable's light the test lamp bulb. the problem is in the High beam relay, and possibly the Low beam relay as well.
One Head lamp relay: If one cable show a light in the test lamp, check the earth cable on that lamp.
Two Head lamp relay: If two cable's show a light in the test lamp, check the earth cable on that lamp.
Some of the car's electrical systems use the Steering column as an earth point. Check the switch.
In many cases are what is called Earth return (this means that the positive power (+) is supplied by one wire, and the negative earth (-) is connected via another wire) this is to reduce the problems of the rust effecting the power flow.
Get the wiring loom layout in the Cars book

Ground leakage detected device cut the power

Take wires out of plug and the wire from the connecter box of machine. With multi tester test earth to live and earth to neutral. If there is a short circuit it will show on which wire it is. Next disconnect live and neutral wires from motor and run test on all wires. If no short the motor is faulty and test the motor connectors. If the short is not found the motor is not the problem but the control system. Disconnect all wires from controls and test everything isolated and individually.

What is the p0340 fault code & where it locatated in galant 2008

some vehicles set these codes when ignition is turned on but engine not running,
but then goto a not pressent code(history code) or no code present, when engine is running. This may be the way the system works, which with genuine scanner it may
show this but with some aftermarket scanners may only show that the code sets,
not what its status is or if its gone, it remains displayed.
So you could clear codes, engine not running, cycle ignition and if code comes back again without starting engine this is normal for this system (NO FAULT).
If it only sets again when engine has run,
is cam timming correct?
teeth on reluctor wheel all o.k. bent or dammaged?
or debris stuck to reluctor wheel?
Earth circuit could be shared with both sensors is it ok? -repair wiring or bad earth.
low Ohms reading test from sensor connector.
Is power to sensor circuit uninterupted & ok? -repair wiring

Where are the earth points on a BMW r1150gs?

The main earth point to the motor is underneath the battery bracket. You will have to remove the battery and lift the bracket, which also holds the ABS pump, to properly access the earth point.

However, your problem sounds more like a failing Hall Sensor. These often work fine while kept cool, but as soon as they start to overheat, as they would when stationary, the will start failing.

Hall sensor is located behind the alternator pulley on the front of the motor.

FISHER & Paykel 6.5 Smart Drive - No display lights

You need to get hold of a multi-meterand check the resistance of the pump, It should be 33ohms or close to it, the pump is part of the power circuit and the machine will appear dead if it has blown or is unplugged, If the machine was running without the earth wire to the pump connected and the pump had a fault/blockage there is a very good chance that it has blown the motor controller module. It requires the earth to provide a fault path to earth.

What does wiring fault light mean?

The Site Wiring Fault LED will indicate three status:
• Led On: The site wiring fault function is enabled and a site wiring fault is present.
• Led Off: The site wiring fault function is disabled.
• Led Flash: The Site wiring fault function is enabled and there is no site wiring fault.

When the input power is normal the Site wiring fault LED will flash.
• To disable this function, press the Site wiring fault LED button for 10 sec when the UPS is plugged in to wall power and the UPS is off.
• To enable this function, press the Site wiring fault LED button for 10 sec when the UPS is plugged in to wall power and the UPS is off.

Is the wiring fault light indicator lit? This means that the outlet that the unit is connected to is either not properly grounded, or has reversed wiring. First, try connecting the unit to another outlet. If the unit does not display the wiring fault light in the new outlet you will need to have an electrician correct the problem with the other faulty outlet. If it still displays the wiring fault more troubleshooting will be necessary to determine the cause

Should the earth / neutral output of a kubota new boy generator be bonded externally ? It does not appear to be bonded internally as socket tester shows 'no earth', yet RCD does operate on a leakage fault.

You only need to bond it to earth if you are working near water it should have a GFI fault breaker on it, if there is no earth showing check the plug and see if the wire has broken inside the duplex box and if the earth wire has broken off the duplex receptacle. My suggestion is to bond it to a 6 foot grounding rod if in use on the ground and a wet area. And of course following local laws and NEC rules and regulations.
