I have a Dacor CPS 127 electric oven. It was turning itself off just as the heating unit kicked in, so they (the local Dacor certified repair place) replaced the electronic controls. The oven now heated, but as soon as they finished that repair (20 minutes later), I tried to use the self clean function and it flashed an F7 error message. They came back and replaced a latch mechanism. Now, the first time I tried to start the self clean function again, it isn't heating at all and flashes an F8 message. It starts flashing the F8 message every 5 minutes or so, even though we hit the cancel button to stop it. I have invested $600 to repair this unit in the past month and still do not have a healthy oven. Suggestions?

power surges can short out the electonics in appliances. If you can locate where the tech sheet is and I would say its behind the control panel on top, look at the wiring diagram and see if there are any replaceable fuse's. Or a resetable fuse for the heating element. If not check to see if power is getting to the main control bord. If there is power there you may need to replace the control.

SOURCE: F2 message when self cleaning

I have the exact problem, had a service man look at it while still under warranty. He said it was fixed and left. Tried it again, same problem. Called him back 2 times after that, he quit responding to my calls. By tyhen warranty expired and GE refused to do anything.

SOURCE: "Door Locked" flashing on GE Oven JTP15 - can't unlock

The problem may very well be in one of the micro switches on the self cleaning motor bracket. These switches control the electrical flow to the heating elements. In the owners manual there is/should be a chart that lists the unlock and safety combinations. This would be your best source of information.

Dacor double oven model ECD227SCH relay board preventing oven from working......

It sounds like you may be having an issue with your Dacor double oven. If the relay board is preventing the oven from working, there could be a problem with the board itself or with a component it controls.
To troubleshoot this issue, you may want to try the following steps:
  1. Check the oven's electrical connection and circuit breaker. Make sure the oven is properly plugged in and that the circuit breaker has not tripped.
  2. Check the relay board for any visible damage, such as burnt or melted components. If you find any damage, the board may need to be replaced.
  3. Check the oven's thermostat. It is possible that the thermostat may be faulty and not allowing the oven to heat up.
  4. Check the heating element. If the element is not heating up, it may need to be replaced.
If these steps do not help resolve the issue, you may need to call a repair technician to diagnose and fix the problem. It is generally not recommended to try to repair an oven yourself, as it can be dangerous and may void the manufacturer's warranty.

My dacor microwave convection oven won't turn or heat but but the exhaust, time etc. works.

I found the answer on other posts on this website and it saved me $500! I had the same problem with my Dacor Model ECD2278 double oven. After I ran the self cleaning the top oven would not come on and the lower oven ran almost double the temp that was set. To fix: disconnect power to the oven at the circuit breaker. Open the oven door. You'll see the grille/grate/steel cover in front of the door latch mechanism, and it should have about 4 screws holding it in place. Remove the screws then remove the grille cover. On my model the tiny red reset button was on the right side on top of a black plastic round piece which is about 1" in diameter. Press the little button down til it clicks.

Dacor Oven model # CPS127 - part # 13158B - discontinued. How to find

More than likely your not going to be able to find a part once its been discontinued, especially if its been that way for a while, but there is an alternative though. There are companies that specialize in rebuilding control boards, etc that have been discontinued and are no longer available. I would contact a company like appliance parts depot or another major distributor because they will have the numbers you'll need to contact those companies, but remember, whatever the cost of the part was is nothing compared to the cost they charge to remake the part.

The cooling fan on model CPS 127 is making a noise

Yes , there is a cooling fan located at the top of the oven
It could be the fan blades catching, or a noisy fan bearing.
You would have to access it by removing the top oven cover to check., and yes it could be as a result of having it cleaned.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

PCS 127 does not heat up. Fan and preheat start.

We were able to unscrew the plate that sits behind the latch. 6 screws I believe. Look towards the middle back-right side you will see a red switch. Click it twice. Before we put plate back we tested oven and it worked!!! Hope this info will help you. Dacor oven has been a real problem and I'm a kitchen designer. Will never recommend Dacor anything to my clients after many oven issues.

Dacor CPS 130 oven will not heat

This model actually made this way. Sometime you can not see the thermostat because of the bracket in front of the door latch. When you remove grill panel under control panel you gonna see this bracket. It pulls out very easy. Behind the door latch you will see thermostat with red button on the middle. Before resetting this button make sure you disconnect electricity.

Dacor Double Oven

HI - I just had the same problem - repairman came and reset the breaker in the oven which "tripped" (even tho I havent used the lower oven in months).  Read posts here on other Dacor ovens which explain how to get to the reset switch to avoid having $150 in repair costs - I have not tried that myself tho but good luck!

Dacor Oven - convection fan stays on while on "bake" setting

Question: does the unit appear to hold the correct temperature? Most convection units only turn the heating elements on and off...not the fan. If the unit is reporting operating temp and then taking other direction...and it is cooking right...you're done.
