If you go to this URL http://www.bissell.com/assets/0/132/134/228/e5babada-7240-40ea-93c0-90427ed32741.pdf You will find the users manual that describes what to do to replace the belt. I suggest that when you remove the brush, clean it as best you can, paying special attention to the plastic clips on each end. I would spray some WD40 between the clips and the brush and turn the clips until they move freely. If you find my solution to be of help to you, I would appreciate a Thumbs Up from you. Paul

I have borrowed a bissell proheat 2x from a friend and she did not have a manual. I cannot get the brushes to turn.

The User Guide for the Bissell 9500 ProHeat 2X CleanShot Upright Deep Cleaner is available here:

http://canada.bissell.com/images/UserGuides/9500_107.pdf

Note that the brushes only turn when the unit is reclined using the detent pedal.

If machine has been jammed the internal circuit breaker may have been tripped. Unplug machine from power source, remove object or blockage and then plug machine back in to power source to reset breaker.

More seriously the drive belts may have become worn or have broke or a brush may have become detached; refer to page 18 for instructions on how to replace belts and brush rolls.

More information including a video and replacement parts can be found here by selecting the tabs across the screen below the picture of the machine.

Bissell pro heat 2x brushes are not turning???

Brushes are controlled by belts. They must have come off or broke.

My bissell proheat 2x wont vacuum up water

There is a float (usually looks like a red ball) that rises up if water is in danger of getting to the motor. Sometimes they stick.. Give it a poke to free it up.

All the best,

WD

No cleaning fluid or water comming out of cleaner

not sure of your model but on most of the bissell's ( except there new style) the belt drives the pump and the brush on the bottom. no pump action then no spray action. you probably need a new belt.
