Dry the section thats bad use a little super glue to apply both ends together after you open ink cartridge
you will get messy so i sugest old clothes newspaper and some disposable gloves once you have the ink ribbon glued back together let dry in fridge for about 4 days sinces its cold its going to take a little longer for glue to dry but wont dry out the rest of the ribbon
this is the only eldest way since typewriter days this has been the simple fix of printer ribbons
make sure to always keep back up ribbon so your work doesnt fall behind

Replaced black ink catridge but its still saying remove cartridge and check cartridge on right.

there is a plastic tab on the black plastic latch/cover to the black ink cartridge. In most cases that black tab has broken off, and the cover is not setting the cartridge in the printer properly. Use some super glue/nail glue to glue the tab back on. BE CAREFUL!! There is a tiny ribbon cable that attaches to the cartridge device, do not break that cable!!

I bought a new color print cartrige and since then my printer align cartridge keeps failing so I can't use my printer. I have reincerted them many times and ran the align cazrtride and I get the same thing...

Sorry to ask a dumb question but did you remove the protective tape on the cartridge when you installed it? If yes, then proceed to the following HP help page where the align cartridge error is outlined along with several solutions. Best of luck!

How to change ink cartridge officejet k60

What you need to do is open the lid of the printer and the cartridge will roll to the middle and you'll see the ink cartridges and all you have to do is pull out the desired ink cartridge that you want to replace and put in the new one. If you have any other questions please let me know.

Repeat cartridge jams

Not really a solution but I went through this with an HP ink jet printer last year. HP basically said there was no solution. Had to toss the printer. HP's just do not hold up in my opinion.

Error: Incorrect Color Cartridge Intalled

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

OfficeJet K60 All In One Problem:Aligning Cartridges

In the process of alignment there are two phases:

1. When the message comes to align the ink ..press ok and the page is printed out.

2. Once the page is printed then place the page on the scanner glass and tehn scan the same.

Follow these two steps in the same order and it will never give Align Ink Cart message again.

HP OfficeJet K60 Printer

you can bypass when asked and use last good settings by..Press and hold the Enter button, and then press Menu

This problem is caused by incorrect alignment page print out caused by faulty cartridges, ideal fix is replacement of all ink carts

HP have a webpage dedicated to this...h10025.www1.hp.com

Also get on your gloves get out your vac and suck on the carts till a little ink comes out, make sure colour cart releases all 3 colours then reinstall, can get messy.

Cartridge problems

Ref: our live chat - Definitely worth replacing the colour one with a new one - some other people had identical problem and that cured it - they really don't survive not being used very well. :)
