Installing printer without disk

just press the ink button (with the drop symbol) once and the carriage will move to change ink position, you can now change the cartridge. when your done, just press the ink button once again.

you should be able to install printer. the printer came with one cable. should be usb that connects to the computer and the other side should connect to the printer. the other cord, should be a power cord. trying uninstalling it, restart, then insert the cd and the wizard should take over to install it. make sure you have geneuine epson cartridges!!!! A must !!!

I was able to install the original XP status monitor from the CD, onto Windows Vista Home Premium.

On the install cd, you need to open the 'STM3' folder under whatever language you are installing, 'English' in my case. There are several .exe files in that folder:

E_S1LAC2.EXE
E_SCHK02.EXE
E_SIINS2.EXE
E_SPSU02.EXE
STMSETUP.EXE
For each of these, right click on the file, and choose 'Properties'. Under the 'Compaitbility' tab, choose 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' - Windows XP (Service Pack 2).

Then run the 'STMSETUP.EXE' file, and it should install properly, and work. Although I cannot guarantee that it will work on your system, or that it will not have any negative effects on your computer.

So far, I have not had any trouble with it.

I had the same problem and was able to get my EPSON Stylus Photo R220 to print a CD using the following procedure. This should work for other Epson Photo printers as well.
1.     Open EPSON Print CD
2.     When CD is ready for printing do the following:
3.     Select Print from the File menu
4.     When “The EPSON printer driver dealing with CD printing is not installed” is displayed – click OK and select Manual Print
5.     Set Paper Size to A4 and click OK
6.     In Layout select Print Settings
7.     In Media Type select CD/DVD
8.     Then press Print

down load the drivers from epson http://www.epson.com

Re-install the printer after downloading the latest driver from Epson. It is quite likely that the Canon software has over written the colour profile for the Epson.
