I assume the first solution is if the bearings are worn otherwiseI should try to adjust the legs first. I am limited by the height of the space the dishwasher is in, and will have to pull the washer out of the space in order to access the rear legs to lower them. Any problem with hoses, drains etc.when I pull it out?

Welcome to FixYa.

It sounds like perhaps the unit is either not level ( leaning forward slightly ) or the rack bearings are worn thus the rack slides forward, especially when loaded with dishes.

To adjust the legs on the Viking/Asko dishwashers you`ll need to access the front or rear legs or both and either screw them up or down...then lock the nuts in place.

...However if the rack rollers are worn, the bearings are tricky. There is usually evidence of them wearing ( but not always ) in the form of gray plastic pieces being found in the tub...

Here's what works for me, move the rack stops to the left if you haven't already and then the rack itself.

Now you'll need to remove the bumpers at the back of the rack rtop rack rolls out spontaneously - a6e3c04.jpg>

push down on the bumper as shown

Now top rack rolls out spontaneously - d5605f4.jpg to slide the rail all the way out as shown, but careful not to let the ball bearings fall into the sump area in the process.

I usually hold the broken piece in plactop rack rolls out spontaneously - 9177d05.jpgoving the rail...

The trtop rack rolls out spontaneously - 9c58331.jpgto install the balls into the holders first...

and the holders into the stationary part of the rail on the inside wall...

The inside wall rail will keep the holders in place as you slide the inside rail into place...this will usually require holding the holder with one hand while pushing the sliding rail back into place...

Once this is done, re-install the back rail bumpers followed by the rack and then finally the front rack stoppers and that should do it.

Hope that explain it for you or gives you an idea of "what" and "how" it needs to be done.

Thanks for choosing FixYa today for your repair help. Let me know if you require further assistance.

Good luck.

    Hi Lane,

Actually I would try adjusting the legs before replacing the upper rack bearing/holders since you'd likely need to order those parts or the very least pick them up at a local part supplier. It shouldn't be necessary to pull the D/W out and in fact by removing the toe panel be able to reach to the back and adjust the rear legs. **Turn the power off to the unit first of course**
Let me know how you do. I'm presently on my iphone, but when I return to my hotel later I can send you part numbers and further assistance if need be...keep me posted.

    Good luck.

Hi Just bought and installed a Bush wkp12-9348 integrated dishwasher. There seems to be a problem with the door. When I open the door the spring seems very tight and tries to close. I am unable to unload...

Open the door...PULL THE RACK OUT...and unload. I mean, really??
If the bottom rack is loaded it sits on the door. if its the top rack door, pull out rack, and unload.

Door opens beyond position parellel to floor

Hi dougisommer

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your question is: The door springs seem fine but when we open the door and wheel out the lower dish rack, the door drops further and the rack rolls down to the floor. Reading other postings, it seems like a good name for this is a broken "door catcher." How can I fix this?

You may need a sevice tech for this. The 'door catchers' on the sides of the unit can only be accessed after removing. Not a job for the inexperienced.

The Rinsing aid door keeps opening in my Bosch dishwaser

I believe paddy55 is correct about the rack position affecting the rinse agent door. When the top rack is moved to the higher position, the rack hits the latch on the rinse agent door, causing it to pop open.

Move the rack back to the lower position and see if the door stays closed.
