I have a sony xplod gt200 The truck is a 1999 Dodge Dakota R/T The deck beeps as I scroll through the menus and volume controls but will not play music in AUX, TUNER or CD. But I get Beeps. Thi sis very frustrating. I read something about this same problem with another deck on here but nobody responded. I hope someone can help me though.

The beeping can be turned off for AUX to have sound u need to have something hooked to it if there is no sound it could be blown or incorrectly connected speakers or even a blown fuse also try RESETTING the unit

unit most likely has either malfunctioned or has dirty contacts take the face off and press the RESET button if this does not fix it take a QTip and some rubbing alcohal and clean the contacts on the face and unit this unit does come with a remote try using that

Press and hold the select button (volume). Press the select button repeatedly until "CLOCK ADJ" appears. Press DISPL button. Rotate the volume dial to set hour. Press the select button. Rotate the volume dial to set the minutes. Press the select button. Press DISPL button to change between clock and previous display. Page 4 in the owners manual.

Installed the sony xplod

You may have used the dimmer wire to ground your radio and blown your fuse. First unplug your radio. This problem can be checked with a multimeter by seeing if the wire is grounded with the car off. Turn on the lights and see if it reads 12 volts on that wire. If so, use another ground wire or attach it to the truck's chassis earth.

Stolen faceplate

the GT-200 is the cheapest of the sony line. A new radio can be obtained for under $50. A faceplate direct from sony would be approximately the same amount. Check eBay or Craigslist for a used one.
