My DCM-360 has stopped playing discs after my moving house. It spins the carousel, picks up the disc and then puts it down without spinning the disc up. Laser problem or disc-spinning-motor problem or something else, what do you recon? / A

Your changer has lost its mind and is doing crazy things.just like mine. Software issue not repairable.. Go shopping.

You can clean the lens with a small amount of windex and put a little oil like 3 and 1 oil on the spindle motor shaft and on the sled rails. Good luck !

take off the cover, then carefully plug unit in and push open switch. then unplug unit. most everything will be visible.

This is a laser unit fault or the pcb under the laser unit. Both are expensive.

the sensor is probably dusty, so id try 2 take it apart n dust it off

Optical pick up of your unit requires replacement.

Look at the switch and solenoid assembly at 1 oclock on the carousel. That is what activates to set it going and it then clocks off a ratchet wheel to do two full cycles looking for a selection then stops. If it gets stuck the carousel wont stop.

Simply remove the outer casing and remove the jammed disc

When the disc is taken from the carousel and put on the player how long does it take for it from the time it is placed onto the player to being returned to the carousel? Also is the cd spinning when its on the player or not spinning at all. The answers to these questions should help in pinpointing the actual problem.

it sounds like the motor arm is dirty you will need to take it a dialer or if you can do it your self you will big job on so good luck
