Epson tmu220d printer is installed on my system running on windows XP. the driver is also installed but the printer does not show when plugged in. the port chosen during the driver installation was parallel port.

Ty to install the epson compatible 24 pin driver fom the add printer Wizard .It woks well with the EPSON LQ-1150 II.if it again asks for the windows xp cd run "regsvr32 dllfilename.dll" where dll file name is where you gets from the windows xp test page.Hope it'll work

If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,

Click here I misplaced my printer driver disk.

A web page will open, follow instructions, Select Epson link, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
After downloading, find the file,double click on the file ,then if you get in troubles, follow the instructions below to reset and reinstall drivers:

• Unplug printer USB.
• Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
• Download driver from website, or use the disk and run the install file.
  
• Follow driver installation wizard.
• Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.

If your using the Windows Vista operating system you need also the Window Vista support driver of your printer epson stylus. If that driver is for Window XP only you just try to download at Epson for Windows Vista driver for your printer.

Hi there. If the computer is running Windows 2000 or higher (XP or VISTA), there is no need to run the setup CD. Simply run the prompt you'll get once the printer is plugged in. Run the wizard and the computer will use the built in driver for XP. Have you tried running a print test page? Have you gone to epson.com website to see if they have printer driver available for your printer...

you need to use the printer cable that was design for the printer. if you don't have the cable anymore, then you have to take the commercial cable apart and reconfigure in accordance to page 43 of the manual call outs.

Besides the cable, the printer software is only good for Windows 2000. Windows XP will not work unless Epson provide you with the printer driver. (which I did not see on the website).

all in all if you must use this printer with Windows Xp. you need to create a file in Autoexec.bat to enable the printer and allow the USB to connect to the printer.
