Hi! I just bought this new Jensen Airlink 89300 but I can't get into 192.168.0.1 which is the main IP address. It used to be set up in bridge mode, but after I changed it back to Access point mode I couldn't get into it to change the settings. When i type in: http://192.168.0.1/ and press enter it says: "Can't find server" in safari and "the connection has timed out" in firefox. Thank you for your help! Best regards, Lars Lundanes

Log in to router via browser at: 192.168.1.1
At login and password promt enter
login: admin
password: admin

Navigate from left pane: Advanced setup -> LAN
Enter there you'r new ip: 192.168.2.1
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

I Think you ISP must be DSL.
Your internet is working with the old router when it is in bridge mode.
Check the IP address of your computer when it is connected directly to the modem and NOT in the bridge mode. Suppose the IP address is 192.168.X.Y. After that connect your computer to the ethernet port of the router. DO NOT connect the modem to the router. check the IP address of the computer again. Suppose the IP address of the computer is 192.168.A.B. Now make sure that both the IP addresses are not in the same range that means X is NOT equal to A. If they are same, then open the set up interface of your router and change the Local IP address of the router. that will help.

there might be a problem with the Linksys router, the Westell 6100 should be 1st set to bridge mode in order for your router to be connected to it. or there could also be a proble on the Verizon server.

I have solved the problem:
- first, I had to change the management address in CF-WFAP into address that could be recognized by the router (i used 192.168.1.2),
- DHCP turned off, and set default gateway and DNS to 192.168.1.1. as in router, computer IP was set to 192.168.1.xxx, push "apply", change web address to new one,
- set AP mode to station-infrastructure, push "apply" buton to restart AP,
- set security to same security as in router and copy key into proper field, push "apply" again to reset the AP
- finaly check wireless station around and choose the router (same encription)

Installing a router to work as the second one on a home networkrequires special configuration. Do the following on the second routerto ensure it (and the devices attached) function properly:1. Connect as local device or bridge - If connecting the second router via Ethernet cable, plug it into one of the LAN ports on the first router. If connecting the second router wirelessly, ensure the second router is set for client mode.Note that some home wireless routers do not support client mode; thesemust be connected by cable. Check your router documentation for detailson its client mode configuration support.

2. Check / change IP address - Most home network routers use a default IP addresssetting. Often, these default IP addresses will not work in a tworouter environment. Check the second router's IP address value andreset it if necessary to work within the valid address range of thefirst router (and to not conflict with any other device on the network).

3. Disable DHCP- To avoid IP address conflicts between all of the devices on the homenetwork, only one of your two routers should assign addresses via DHCP. All mainstream routers provide an option to disable DHCP as part of the router's configuration screens.

(My netgear router supports client mode. The 2wire supports bridged and router mode. My 2wire is the main router. I set up my netgear using my laptop. Once you change the address on the router.. You will only be able to directly access through the main router to the 2701.)

Configure your 2701 IP address to a static address in the 192.168.2.1 range and diable DHCP. Only 1 router can run the DHCP service. To disable Dhcp on the 2701.... log on to 2701> click on home network>advanced settings>uncheck enable DHCP>Next section is Public routed subinterface...Check enable and Aout Firewall Open>Input your main router address and mask>save config..

This worked with the Netgear router.. May not with your router. Good Luck! Hope this helps!

It is common to have this as the default IP to connect to equipment.

I suggest you unplug your modem while you set up your router. You can also change the default IP for the router while in the settings. be sure to remember the new IP or you will have to do a factory reset to get it back to default

Before proceeding with modem installation you need to gather your connection details from your Internet Provider. You will need to know or find out the following information about your new ADSL connection from your Internet Service Provider:

Connection Type:
PPPoE
PPPoA
Bridge RFC1483
Default IP address: 10.1.1.1 (USB 10.1.1.2)
Username: admin
Password: admin
· Username / password (PPP connections only)
· IP address / Subnet Mask / Default Gateway (Bridge connections only)
· DNS IP Addresses (optional)

To set up, log into the modem using your WEB browser: type http://10.1.1.1 in the address bar and press Enter.
Enter username 'admin' and
password 'admin' (default setting).

Go to Quick Configuration page.
Set Refresh Rate to "No Refresh".

If it is a PPPoE or PPPoA CONNECTION:
Select Operation Mode: PPP.
In the Connection Type drop-down menu select PPPoE or PPPoA profile.
Enter username and your password.
Select CHAP under Authentication Type (check with your ISP if not sure).

If it is a BRIDGED RFC1483 CONNECTION:
Select Operation Mode: Bridge. If you do not see "Bridge" options please update your modem's firmware at http://www.dlink.com.au/tech/
Select LLC or VC Mux as suggested by your provider.

Make sure your VPI/VCI is set according to your ISP requirements:
Click on "Save & Reboot" to save settings.

Then give modem a minute or two to reboot and reconnect. Restart your computer and you should be able to access the Internet.

You do not have to run any login client on your computer or router because your modem logs to your ISP automatically.

For a new unit disconnect the eoc from the network and connect directly (through POE injector of course) to your laptop/pc.  then in network connections setup your lan port TCP/IP settings as follows.  ip 192.168.1.10 subnet mask 255.255.255.0 then gateway 192.168.1.1

point your browser to 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.2 (one if it is in AP mode and the other address works if it is in bridge mode).

When configuring, I assign it an new static IP outside of the DHCP assignment range.

To see how it is setup afterwords you can use hyperterminal with a null modem cable to view the current config.  instructions on the engeniustech.com support page.

Make sure that you routers IP range is setup to handle the IP address of your PC.
