I have a Philips HTS8100 home theatre system with compatable IPOD Docking Station (HTD7001). I can play audio tracks but not video from the IPOD via the docking station. Video cable connected correctly and correct TV channel selected. IPOD is switched on before connecting to docking station. When TV out disabled on the IPOD, movie audio can be played via Home theatre system but not video picture. When TV out enabled on the IPOD, the IPOD asks for "Please connect video accessory" even though IPOD and Docking Station connected as per HTS manual. Tried the same procedure on different Theatre systems, docking stations and video classic IPODS. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong? Many thanks. Richard Townsend
For this kind of unit HTS8100 that comes with htd7001 it can only play some ipod. for instance if you want to play music you can use ipod nano but if you want to play video you need to use ipod 4th and 5th generation. because there's compatible issue with this unit because ipod was released after this unit (hts8100) was released
Sorry i do not ^have a solution.

I also have the same problem but now I think it's the type of I-Pod you use. Do you use the I-Pod 80 Gb video or the newer 160 Gb I-Pod with the cover flow etc. ? The documention of the HTD7001 says it's only support some I-Pods. I would know sure if I would have a type of Video I Pod wich is supported by the documentation
