I have a generic wiring diagram that I use on all my installs that works very well. It is basically the same for most all commercial walk in freezers. Send me a email address and I'll scan and forward what I have.

True freezer model t -23f need wiring diagram

There is a safety cutout on the evaporator that sometimes goes open circuit, stopping the heater coming on in defrost. If the compressor will not turn off, check the condenser is clean.and the fan working. next check the thermostat hasn't broken. Lastly, check the defrost timer.

I have a True T 23f freezer that I know needs a new defrost timer. My problem is finding the right one. The only numbers I can see on the timer are 8141-00B and 345-00. I can also see it's marked 2hp...

That 8141-00B is a Paragon timer model number. If you get the identical one you can just mark the numbers down and be sure to wire in the new one the same way.

I don't have an owners manual and want to know where I should set the freezer to avoid unnecessary ice build-up. Also is there a setting for defrost?

Click Here for your user manual=> MQU1556AEW.pdf The settings for defrost should come automatically every 12 hours. You may test the defrost timer that appears to be behind the kick plate at base and front bottom of refrigerator by removing the kick plate first and using a flathead screwdriver turn slowly clockwise until compressor stops. After a few minutes you should be able to hear a crackling noise or sizzle by opening the door and listening. Leave the timer like that for up to 35 minutes and if the freezer does not start on its own the the timer is not working properly and will need replaced. Click Here=> MQU1556AEW Unit parts number 15 in photo is defrost timer. The defrost timer is part number=> 4357124 Defrost Timer Check for air leaks around door seal as this will cause the same symptoms. If by chance the defrost timer works and the defrost does not then let me know here or here=> Appliance 911 The only other parts are the defrost heater number 16 in photo MQU1556AEW Unit Parts and part number for defrost heater is Click Here=> 8201749 If you change the defrost heater it is always good to replace the defrost thermostat number 18 in MQU1556AEW Unit Parts The defrost thermostat is part number=> 1-81801-001 The most likely problem is the defrost timer but I needed to cover every possibility. If you have questions please feel free to ask, Thanks, Sea Breeze

I have a T-49 freezer with compressor running defrost timer board is showing in refrigeration mode. I have power on the #4 terminal going to the evaporator fans. Both door switches are closed. I am not...

most freezers have 2 controls. 1 is a defrost terminator and the other is a fan delay. the delay and the defrost terminator can sometimes be a "2 in 1" type switch. you would have to study the wiring diagram. The delay will not let the fans come on untill the evap reaches a preset temperature. take another look at the diagram. It may be that the evap is not getting cold enough. you may have a refrigeration issue.

Not working like it dead

Go to sears.com and use the parts link and enter your complete model number. it will take you to the specs. and diagram.
this problem could be one of several so i am going to list the possibilities:
freezer is stuck in defrost mode (the timer will do that so it could be the timer)
thermostat not working

as far as this these two parts control operation
i would start 1st with the t'sat. unplug then get to the t'sat take off the 2 wires and jump out those 2 wires (put the 2 wire together somehow but be careful)
make sure the wires dont touch anything (especially you when you plug in)
if the freezer kicks on replace t'stat
if it doesnt them replace timer

hope this was helpful

Freezer says "of" on display

I assume that stands for off... there are 2 parts that affect compressor operation...
t'stat
timer
t'sat could keep the compressor from running if it is bad. to check unplug freezer. . get to t'sat and take the 2 wires off it. then jump them together.. plug back in if the compressor kicks on he replace t'sat if it dont replace timer (timer maybe stuck in defrost)

jope this was helpful

My service man replaced the defrost cycle timer and the relay (timer was definitely broken, relay was highly suspect) but the freezer fan still has no power so freezer will not chill adequately despite...

Most all commercial freezers have a fan delay/ defrost terminator. It is usually mounted on the end of the evap coil. It's purpose is to sense the temp of the coil during the defrost cycle. When it hits a preset temp., usually around 55 degrees or more (depends on Mfg.) It terminates the defrost cycle. It also doubles as a fan delay. It allows the evap coil to cool off from the defrost cycle before allowing the fan to come on. Usually, the coil has to get around 20 degrees before fan will energize. I would look for this as a possible problem. It could be one device with 3 wires or 2 separate devices with 2 wires each. I've seen it both ways.
Hope this helps.
