I have a Jardine Madison 4 in 1 crib DA822BC. I am trying to convert it to the final stage, full size bed. The problem I am having is the head board is missing a factory **** that you insert the "hook" rails into... The bed was brought 4 years ago...What now?

I believe Jardine went out of business due to the vast recall of their cribs... Babies R Us was the only one who sold these beds and should be able to tell you if any of the conversion kits are still available... Good Luck!
I have a Jardine crib white Model DA822BC and we somehow misplaced the rails to convert the crib into the full bed where can I purchase the rails and how much do they run?
Step 1: Detach the front panel from the 2 front post using an allen wrench Step 2: If the mattress support is not in the lowest position unscrew the bolts and move it to the lowest position Step 3: Using the allen wrench, attach the guard rail using 4 bolts between the lest and right front post (the guard rail would be that extra piece that you couldn't do anything with while the bed was converted to a crib. Looks kinda like a wooden board) Step 4: Tighten all screws and put the crib mattress back in
This crib (which I also own) has been recalled by the manufacturer. I just found this out today. If you follow the link below, you can submit your information online to get a recall kit sent to you and to receive a voucher to get a new crib. My son is almost ready for a bed, but I figure I could use the voucher to purchase a new crib that comes with the conversion rails to make it a full-sized bed. Hope this helps!
To convert your crib to a Full Size bed you will need to purchase a set of full size bed rails (hook style for headboard and foot board). You can find this at any discount mattress store, or furniture outlet, it can range in price from $39.99 - $99.99. To install the rails you will see slots with bars on the headboard/footboard, this is where the hooks on the rails slide into. There are no bolts used to secure the rails to the headboard/footboard.
Jardine enterprises does not make a wood rail kit as was shown in some of the earlier ads for the Madison line of convertible cribs, and do not waste your time ordering the rail kit from Babies-R-Us as it is simply a metal rail kit (which you may be able to get cheaper at a local furniture/mattress store).
Use the lower daybed rail between the two front posts for the foot board. Another option for the full-size conversion is to purchase the metal rails (hook style) for a headboard only and not even bother with a foot board.
If you are still unsure of what you need to do for the full-size conversion please feel free to email me at [email protected].
I just talked to Jardine's customer service group (Dorel Home Products) today (800-295-1980) and they told me they could send me instructions by email for putting together my DA822BC.
