There could be several reason for not able to boot up.

1. the power to the unit is not there
2. the monitor is not working so you cannot see anything on the screen and believe it is not booting up.
3. the hard drive is faulty and therefore the system cannot boot.

If you believe 1 and 2 are not the cause and assuming the keyboard is working, then press F1 or F2 immediately when the bootup starts. This will take the system to BIOS setup. Choose boot sequence to boot from CD (or floppy if you have drive). Next insert Windows CD into the CD drive and exit and save BIOS setting. When the boot sequence starts it should boot from CD.

IF this fails then the motherboard is faulty. If it works (ie. it boots from CD) then the hard disk is faulty.

Cant get into my bios

Is there a BIOS password? There is also a boot menu option doing boot without making changes in BIOS. Try F9 or F10... It's one of them.

I have LG E500 and I want to instal XP. I cant make changes in bios like boot sequence, so I cant boot from cd and therefor I cant instal XP. What should I do?

I don't recommend downgrading your laptop from Vista to XP but...

According to manual, pressing F2 during boot sequence takes you to BIOS and then you can change
the order of the boot sequence in the BIOS. From the manual:

"...set passwords, change the booting order, and add new peripheral devices to the machine."

If you can't find boot sequence in BIOS setup, talk to a support rep online:

You may need to use a different server if not in CA.
