Get a USB extension for the dongle. Found out through another site that the Dongle causes interference with the tv or vice versa and it will cause you to drop your ip address or whatever. you can also shield it by putting foil around the device in kinda a loose ring around it kinda like a dog cone for injured dogs. Had a much similiar problem and i think many others who have similiar problems are because of this. REally LG needs to put a alert or something out about it.

At first I thought you were pulling a fast one on us. My wireless router did appear on the AP list. I spent about an hour entering different settings and I couldn't get around the Gateway error. I thought, I'd give your aluminum foil solution a try. To my surprise it worked! A few seconds after powering up my TV, it started to download all the firmware updates that I've been missing. Thanks!

I purchased the lg an-wf100 dongle. It connects to my wifi but is asking for a manual ip entry. I have a 42lg5500 led tv. The manual/automatic field is frayed out, so is the DNS field.

Sounds like your router isn't set for DHCP. Try entering an IP address that isn't in use on your network. You'll find the IP address range in your routers settings. Either that, or set your router to DHCP. Hope this helps.

Cannot connect to home network using AN-WF100 adaptor.

To connect to yourwireless router, the router's wireless settings needs to be configuredwith the SSID, encryption key etc. and also the wireless cards in all thelaptops/computers needs to be configured with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers can communicate with your wireless router.

It sounds like the dongle has a problem. You should consider returning it for exchange or refund.

I found this page on amazon.com - scroll down to bottom to read reviews.. They say easy to install, and work great. One caveat, will not work with older model same tv.

The wireless control input on the back of the TV is not is not for a wireless adapter. It is used to connect a wireless media box, which you don't have. I have the same TV and use the wireless adapter. You want to plug your LG AN-WF100 into one of the USB ports on the left side of the TV.

If you operating system drivers are up to date and you are not using an old OS, the devices should work great. A lot has to do with the download speed also. Slow speed means Buffering and that is not good.
