Red light on display not green as usual no power

Try to turn on my lcd but red light onblinking) no green light

Hold down the "input" button and "volume -" button while the MAIN POWER BUTTON IS OFF. Then turn on the main power button while those are held down, the light on the tv & avc box will turn green. When it turns green, immediately let off the 2 buttons and press "volume +" button, then press the "Main Power" button. Next step is to repeat the process about 20-40 times & the TV WILL WORK!. I have read that this may have something to do with the energy star compliant commands that can changed through the serial port.

I had to repeat the whole process a couple of times to get rid of the factory setup firmware mode. Do it 40 times, I would mess up the sequence a couple of times. Keep trying, it does work.

how many blinks does the red light give in a row? This would be an error code?

The problem for 7 blinks would be an Interface board. Apparently there is a glitch in the interface board that sends signals to the television. Basically the glitch shorts out the board and the t.v wont turn on and you will see the power light blink 7 times pause then 7 more. You can replace the board with a new one and update the software on the new interface board.

My sony kdf E55a20 does'nt come on ,has two red light's on blinking, the other not

the set may or may not have the self check feature--set off with the Sony remote hit display, 5, vol down and power.

I went to turn on my tv tonight and it started to come on - then did not.. a blinking red ligh is where the green light usually is - I tried to unplug it and re plug it in.. no help

When you turn the TV on, does it attempt to come on and then off? Does the light go green when you attempt to power up and then goes red?

I have a 24in wide lcd monitor for my computer and

mcdevito75 here, The red power light usually means the monitor is off, if when you press the red button it turns to green, or blue then the red power button means the monitor was off. Your monitor could be burned out.
