External drive, correct? If so leave the disk in the player and hold your PC power down until it shuts off, turn it back on and you should get it to boot up to the windows installation screen and be able to install windows from there.

Computer won't boot stuck in Error RecoveryScreen won't go any further

You should be able to do a clean install of Windows. Just insert the installation disc and press any key when indicated. Optical drive needs to be the first boot option. Go into BIOS and change it is not.
As for disc, you have to use the same Windows version as indicated on the MS Product Key sticker, because of the serial number.

Okay so I have the Samsung intel windows 7 laptop an recently I've recieved the blue screen if death, and when I try to enter the safe menu by pressing 'F8' nothing happens its just stays on...

Remove all USB attached devices like drives.

To eliminate possible bad RAM. Unplug PC, open case, and remove all RAM. Test one DIMM at time, one slot at a time.

Boot with a Win 7 disc, and choose Repair Your Computer. Then use Startup Repair option. Re-install Windows. Clean install works best, but all data will be lost.

Lastly you may have other hardware problems. If it does another blue screen after reloading windows, especially with a clean install.

Windows XP will not start

The problem is corrupt windows or the hard drive is bad, if it can't be reloaded from the partition or cd disc the hardware should be suspect and tested.

Sir i have purchase new acer netbook my netbook is asking for microsoft product key

Normally whenever we purchase a new netbook or a laptop computer manufacturers install a trail version of microsoft office products, It seems that even your computer manufacturer has installed a trail version of office on your computer which you can use for a period of 60 days and after which you have to purchase the product.

I have a mini netbook which has no disc drive how do i re format / wipe / install a new windows program as it is not picking up wireless network off my router

The only solution that comes to mind is to purchase an external cd/dvd drive that uses USB to connect to your netbook. Then you can install from disks. I would contact acer to make sure that if you format the drive, the external cd drive will continue to work in order to reinstall windows.

Acer aspire netbook won't boot. How can it be restored?

This recovery process helps you restore the C: drive with the original software
content that is installed when you purchase your notebook. Follow the steps
below to rebuild your C: drive. (Your C: drive will be reformatted and all data
will be erased.) It is important to back up all data files before using this option.
Before performing a restore operation, please check the BIOS settings.
1 Check to see if Acer disk-to-disk recovery is enabled or not.
2 Make sure the D2D Recovery setting in Main is Enabled.
3 Exit the BIOS utility and save changes. The system will reboot.
Note: To activate the BIOS utility, press <F2> during POST.
To start the recovery process:
1 Restart the system.
2 While the Acer logo is showing, press <Alt> + <F10> at the same time to
enter the recovery process.
3 Refer to the onscreen instructions to perform system recovery.

I recently purchased an aspire one netbook 531

I suspect the e recovery is designed to be used on a normal CD/DVD and not on the USB version As you have very recently purchased the device, I would contact the ACER support line - heres a link to the global phone numbers http://support.acer-euro.com/phone.html Then if there is a problem with the machine you can get an RMA number and take it back to the shop where you purchased and they should exchange as its so new - or return to ACER for repair
