Dear sir,

the problem lies with your memory card ahich is being infected by virus or corrupted.......

if your card is working fine in other cameras then this is the problem usually caused by viruswhich happens when you are receiving files from p.c or untrusted mobiles...... and sometimes it might be software failure also, which causes some of the menu not tofunction, the only solution is to flash ur phone software from the nearest olympus care.

thank you..take care

Cant transfer photos from camera to pc

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Olympus E-410 won't make a second picture

Try this: remove the lens, clean the contacts on the camera body and the lens where they meet with a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol. re-mount the lens. Remove the card and battery...press all the buttons...leave it alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery...turn it on. Try it and let me know the results.

How do I set the time delay on my olympus stylus 410?

Press down-arrow repeatedly and select the timer (looks like a one-handed clock). Press the shutter button to take the picture. The control lamp lights for about ten seconds, blinks for two, then the camera takes the picture.

Refer to the section "Using the self-timer" in the Reference Manual.

Olympus Stylus 410 Digital is taking grey/black pictures

The problem you are describing is a problem with one of the chips in the camera that controls image processing. It seems to have failed and needs to be replaced. Following are the instructions to send your camera to Olympus for service.

http://olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_servicerepair.asp

Olympus will charge a flat rate repair fee for this product if beyond the one year factory warranty or the warranty is voided. The cost is $83 plus your local sales tax. This covers parts and labor, factory cleaning and diagnostic check, 6 month warranty and the cost of shipping the product back to you is all included in that price.

Will not take picture

This has happened with 2 of our Stylus 410s. It has to do with the flash not working. If you turn off the flash, the picture will take. I am trying to figure out how to fix the flash portion myself...=)

The Macro Mode operating range is 8 inches to 20 inches. This means the camera must be between 8 inches and 20 inches away from the subject for a picture to be in focus.
