What you need is not lighter fluid but methyl alcohol. It's usuall labelled as "Fondue Fuel" It is a blue colored liquid, and usually comes in 500ml plastic bottles. It is available at supermarkets, and "Dollar stores" usually carry it for about $ 1.00
Needless to say, please read the Directions for Use. Avoid contact with skin, and please read the First Aid Treatments.
If you need to refill the burner, DON'T do it while the burner is still hot. Please wait until the burner is cool.
If you anticipate a longer session, a spare burner may be a good idea.
The Elkay fountains are turned on by a solenoid powered valve. There is a rubber grommet in that valve assembly that gets holes in it and then water gets behind it, causing the valve to stick on. To test that it is a solenoid problem, turn the water on and then unplug the power to the fountain--if the water continues to run you have a solenoid problem. Go to sear.com, click on parts, then enter you complete model number for the power head, if an owners manual is available, that is where you will have to go to order one. Also will be a picture breakdown which may help you figure it out.
