Electronic ignitor on propane stove wont start

  1. Close all valves, including the one on the supply tank.
  2. Open valves SLOWLY starting with the tank. Safety valves are built in to prevent escape og gas if vales are broken off.
  3. Turn on ONE burner valve and, depening on the ignition type of your stove, light it. (some have an electric spark generated by a power outlet (120v) and make a sort of poping sound, some have a spark generated by a push button type mechanism.
  4. Once one burner lights, the others should light easily. Sometimes air gets in the lines, and this may have to bleed off, but it should only take a few seconds. -PS, make sure the stove is level, since gas tends to flow to the high spot.

All 4 electrodes spark when only one is turned on

Electric gas igniters sometimes get stuck in one position causing a clicking sound. The clicking sound that you hear is the electric arc that is pulsing from the igniter conductor (wire) to ground (the gas burner). It receives power from the electrical outlet that the stove is plugged into.
Residue from food and sometimes cleaning products may be preventing the igniter from producing a spark (Arc) to the base of the burner. This is a common problem that occurs when the stove has been cleaned or food is allowed to build up. Make sure that the igniter and the burner base are clean and dry. This will help with proper operation. Oven cleaner and a small tooth brush may be used to accomplish this. Another problem with ignition may occur if you have too little (touching) or too much space between the igniter and the base of the burner; it will prevent the burner from igniting. You should only have a little more space than the thickness of a nickel between the burner base and the igniter. A good "blue" arc from the igniter to the burner base is optimal. If this doesn’t work, you may need to replace the electric igniter module. Good luck.

Igniter clicking

I have a stove that doesn't light (click) I've replaced the igniters, I've replaced the knobs, and I've replace the box all the igniters and plugged into. There's nothing else to change out and it still doesn't give a spark. I've got gas and electricity but nothing will light

GE Monogram ZGU48N6D- None of the Ignitors "click"

We just had that problem - the igniter is electric - if none of the burners are "clicking" it could be a power problem. unplug the stove and check whether the outlet is working. In our case, the outlet the stove is plugged into has a "GFI outlet with a reset button. So we reset the outlet and that fixed the problem.

GE Profile Gas cooktop stove- buzzer won't stop

Unfortunately you have to wait until it dries out. I have tried hairdryer before but most of the time I have had to leave it off overnight. FYI if you dont shut off at the circuit breaker and the sparking continues it will short out and definitely get worse

Ignition sparking on its own with GE mongram gas stove top.

the sparking is one of the switches under the knobs shorted you may be able to open the top and take a switch off 1 at a time and you can figure out what one is shorted.or you can just change all of them.
to stop this you may be able to just unplug the cooktop from under the top.if you unplug the cooktop you should be able to light the burners with a match.
