I bout the above camera on ebay and only worked for me for two weeks. Now it shows lines at playback and crackling sound. It does not record at all any more just green lines or screen appears. Shall I bin it?
thanks bud for that but i had done that already. It is still a problem. I think it is most probably electronic. I have just purfchased a similar broken one. I will be postining my findings on the parts I will sakvage frin the broken one. I might have to find a site that sells manuals for samsung. Try a cleaning cassette.. if it dont work it is the heads that are bad.. try a good one.. sometimes this happens if u use old mini dv tapes.. try new.. hope this helps ya

what model cam, if its mini dv and playback has audio cutting out then the cam that originally recorded the video had slightly off tracking and can only be fixed by playing back from the same cam that recorded it
You should first check the JVC website for a manual. This is a recent model and a manual should be available for free download. Another option is a website called safemanuals.com. They have a massive database and often can supply manuals that are not available elsewhere. The specific supplier is diplodocs and you will need to create an account. Its free and easy. Good luck
Someone here recommended on another post to put the lense cap on &
videotape the blackness in a quiet room for 5-10 mins. I tried this as
a last resort & it worked. When I played back the tape, no more
skipping or gray lines. I had 4-5 SOLID gray lines with skipping video
& audio in between on every tape I put in. I think the person who
helped me solve this said that it was a result of the tape alignment
going off. My camera is a Canon zr80 digital camcorder. (Called Canon, they had me reset it & then recommended sending it in).
The lines you see in recording and playback are from dirty heads, most likely. Purchase a Mini_DV head cleaning cassette and use it following the directions on the package. This should clear up your problem. You may have to use the cassette several times in succession to get the heads clean.
