Im having this problem with my zune, where when i plug in the power cord to anything i start smelling burned plastic, and when i look at my zune, it flashes from charging to not charging. When i went and unplugged it, it felt very hot, so since then i havnt tryed to plug it into my usb ports again for risk of frying my usb port. I havnt done anything different with the zune, and the cord looks fine. I dont know if this is covered under warranty or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx

Well? This sounds like you have the wrong cord. It is too short and so it gets power every now and then and then after doing this for a wile it gets over heated. The power going into the Zune is changing so fast that it is causing the plug to burn-up inside itself!
I wound try to call about a warranty and then if that doesn't help then get a new cord!!!

Mine did it. Took out my Zune and FM transmitter. Both are in warranty. Good luck trying to get service though. No speak English at Zune.
