Hi,

The movie file created with a Nikon Coolpix S10 has a file name extension of .MOV (for Apple's QuickTime) and normally would have been recorded at 640 x 480 (30 fps) (though you can go down to 320 X 240 @ 15/30 fps or 160 X 120 @ 15 fps or time lapse). However, the movie file from the S10 is not 100% compatible being heavily compressed (Adobe Premiere is a bit finicky) and therefore would require to be converted to an acceptable movie file format before Adobe would even recognize it and therefore editable.

A Windows compatible movie file converter would do the job. An example is TMPGEnc and has a trial version freely usable for a couple of days. Another is Xilisoft Video Converter. With the converter, you can then create a copy of your 2 minute .MOV file to any format easily readable by Adobe Premiere. Incidentally, some versions of TMPGEnc would require an additional plugin QTReader.vfp to convert QuickTime MOV videos.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

You need to find a program which will recognize the file format of your camera. most readers like real player recognize extensions like .mov or mpg (mpeg) if yours is anything different consulkt the cameras manual to see what extension it puts on its files.

How can I edit adobe files?

If you're talking about a .PSD file, you can use Photoshop to open it up and edit it. However, if you mean an Adobe Acrobat file like a PDF, you'll need to use the program called "Adobe Acrobat." Otherwise, please specify which file format you're needing.

When I attempt to convert a word document into an PDF file I get a message "missing PDF maker files" I'm given the option to say yes or no to "do you want to run the installer in repari...

From the info you provided, seems like your Adobe Acrobat Professional wasn't installed properly or there are some missing files.
If you have the installation file, try installing the software again.
(When you click on Yes, nothing happens because adobe cannot find the Installation/setup file on your laptop.)
If you do not have the Adobe installation files, as an alternative download CutePDF writer. Its free and hardly takes any space on your pc/laptop (<4MB)
Direct Download Link for CutePDF
Once downloaded, install the software and follow the steps below:
1. Open the Word file you want to convert to pdf
2. try to print it
3. before printing, the time when u have to select your printer, select Cute PDF Writer as shown in the image below
4. Click on print

drgirish_0.jpg

5. The Word document will be printed as a PDF file and you'll be asked where you want to save it :)
6. Choose your destination.
7. When the printing is completed, you can open the pdf file in Adobe PDF reader
* You don't need a printer to do this
* You can follow the same steps and print excel/powerpoint files to pdf (or any other file type that you can "print")
Hope this helped!

Not able to resign a pdf file when making revision (changing a date). Keep getting error message of: CSigDict.cpp Line 1663

If the file is opened in Acrobat Reader you can not do editing. You have to use Acrobat Writer to do this.
If you do not have Acrobat Writer, you have to download a free PDF Creator.
If you are using a PDF writer to convert a word document to PDF format, save both files, that is- the Word document (or Excel worksheet) and the PDF file. This way, if you need to edit, you can go back to the original document and edit.
Hope this will help.
