Black & Decker Cordless Drill will not charge battery

Either the charging adapter is faulty or the battery is worn out.

If the recharageable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

I need a replacement battery for an 18v Coleman Drill

Check Amazon.com. I got a good deal on batteries and a charger for a Firestorm 24V drill there. Or, try Ebay.com.

Coleman 18v drill CTP 8129 number 9408 label underside drill. Probably 30 hours total usage over 2 years. Appeared not to hold charge after 18 months - had to recharge before every use on a 1 week...

These batteries never last very long. That model of drill is no longer made but I did find some refurbished batteries on EBAY. However, with EBAY you get what you get. Personally, I would never buy a refurbished battery and besides, they are way overpriced for a refurb. Sorry my friend but you would be better off just buying a name brand drill with Ni-cAD batteries (18V or 24V are the most common). I have a 24V DeWalt that I love and replacement batteries are cheap.

I have a model 7450-7468 cordless drill. The charging unit apparently no longer works. Where can I have it checked or buy a new charger?? Kansas City, Mo. 64113

Try www.batteryplanet.com and www.batteries.com. If neither one of these has what you're looking for, google cordless drill batteries and chargers and pick from there.
Happy surfing!!
