I have a casio exilim ex-z1050 digital camera - up until about a month ago I was very pleased with it.
Since then I have found that it is very over exposed in any sunlight. So much so that the picture comes out pretty much white. It is not only in direct sunlight but whenever the sun is out at all. Pictures taken indoors or in heavy cloud/rain are fine. I have tried the settings changing to sunlight mode etc.
I have not had this problem before - I bought the camera last summer and the first pictures were taken on a summer holiday in Italy and the colours and exposure were as they should be.
It's probably a faulty shutter. Take a look at my blog post to a possible solution.
My kodak did the same thing, apparently it was a fault with the camera. The sensor on the front of the camera that detects sun light had packed up. Try wiping it first(?)
