    ktopen,... (sorry ablut the format of my answer because "comments" are not formatted)......the "plus" symbol did not display in your question..... "2x10" should be "2x plus 10".........
    Answer is x=6.......... solution steps: 2x plus 10 = 22........ 2x=12 ........ x=6.........

All three sides of a triangle are equal in length of one side is 2x+5 and one side is 4x-3 find the perimeter of the triangle

If all sides are equal then 2x + 5 = 4x - 3
2x = 8
x = 4

so the perimeter is 3 times either expression above
3 * (8 + 5) = 39

The triangle has 3 congruent angles. does not have a ruler to measure the lengths of the sides. How can she show that the triangle has three congruent sides?

Three congruent angles means it is an equilateral triangle, so by definition it has 3 congruent sides. Or, by the Sine Rule of triangles

a/sinA = b/sinB = c/sinC

and since A = B = C (given) then a = b = c.

Volume of triangular pyramid

Here is to get you started. To increase the size of the image do a CTRL Plus (+) in your browser.
You need to calculate the slant height of the pyramid for the formula of the lateral area. You should find a value of (1/2)*SQRT(203) or about 7.1239 cm

913b74c4-c453-4afa-be3a-c3e781816e8d.png

You need to calculate the altitude (height) of the pyramid from the apex (summit) to the center of the base triangle (center of inscribed circle, barycenter, orthocenter). The hypotenuse of such triangle is the slant height. One leg is the altitude (to be found), the measure of the second leg is (1/3) the altitude of the equilateral triangle that forms the base. You should find (1/3) m MH= (1/3)* (11/2)*SQRT(3)

1. Calculate the area of the base (use a formula for the equilateral triangle or the general formula for a triangle: you have its height MH ).
2. Lateral area = 3 times the area of triangle Triangle ECD (in yellow above).
3. Total area = area of base + lateral area.
4. Volume= (1/3)(Area of base)* (height of pyramid)
If you can see the details on the screen capture below, fine, Press CTRL + in your browser to increase the size.

-3x + 15 = 2x -10

-3x -2x = -10 -15

-5x = -25

x = -25/-5

x = 5

You are framing a rectangular print that is 10 inches wide and 34 inches long. this wall space has an area of 640 square inches. what is the width of the frame so that the framed print fits perfectly in...

If we assume the width of the frame is X. Then the one dimension of the framed picture will be 2X + 20 and the other dimension of the picture will be 2X + 34. We know the total area of the framed picture should be 640 in^2. Therefore:
(2X + 10) * (2X + 34) = 640
If you multiply this out you get:
4X^2 + 88X + 340 = 640
Subtract 640 from both sides:
4X^2 + 88X - 300 = 0
Divide both sides by 4:
X^2 + 22X - 75 = 0
Use the quadratic equation to solve for X, with A=1, B=22, C=75
X = [-22 +/- sqr(22^2-4*(-75)] /2
This reduces to:
(-22 +/- 48) / 2
The negative solution doesn't make sense in this case. Therefore: X = (-22 + 28) /2 = 6/3 = 3

Therefore the width of the frame should be 3 inches.

Hello

That camera has a SD card slot. I would ignore the internal 16MB of memory and use a SD card. (512's are really cheap)

The SD card can then be removed and placed into a SD to USB reader. ($10-15 range) When you use one of these it makes the SD card into another disk drive -- so you can then just copy or move the files to your HD and do with then anything you would do with any other jpg or video file. You can also carry multiple SD's and have extra digital "film" available to take more pictures. You can also take these SD cards to just about any Wal-Mart, Walgreens, or CVS and make real prints for about .20 a piece.
