I am not able to print multiple labels off with out it printing 1/2 or a 1/4 of a label every 6-8 labels. It becomes very wasteful and labor intensive to print 2 labels every time. Hope someone can help me

When you prepare the label and prior to clicking on print, be sure you select the number of labels to print. If you click on 1 copy that's all it print .

check in your configuration that you are not in multiple label mode.
Use single buffer mode

Multiple label feeding usually occurs because the sides of the spool holding the roll are not squeezed tightly together. Make sure there's no gap between the labels and the sides of the spool. If this doesn't help. take out the labels and blow a blast of air into the feed slot. There is a sensor inside the slot on the left that detects the hole in the labels, and maybe it is blocked.

There are a few common reasons this is problem can exist.

1.) the incorrect template is used when creating the label

2.) the labels are installed incorrectly - the labels must be loaded and pushed against the left side of the printer and lid closed when printing to ensure the labels don't "wander" out of the sensor's view.

3.) the label sensor is covered by some debris - sometimes a label jam can cause a piece of label to become stuck on the underside of the sensor thus blocking its view. 4.) the print head is covered by some debris - sometimes a label jam can cause a piece of label to become stuck on the underside of the sensor thus blocking its view.

5.) The labels are defective - if you have another roll of the same size, try it to see if it has the same issue. If not, make sure you purchase quality labels like Dymo name brand or Labelvalue brand Dymo labels.
6.) The printer is defective. Labelwriter 400s have a 2 year warranty, so you can contact Dymo customer support to determine if the printer is defective and return to the retailer you purchased it from.

No, more than likely you just need to change the paper size and definitions within the driver and the application.

check the size of the labels in your software

the important thing is if you are using different type labels and sizes before printing see to it that the labels must properly calibrated..to avoid printing incorrectly

You need to do a full calibration

It's not the printers, has to be the software.
