Cut out 4 equilateral triangles and a square from cardboard. Fasten the triangles on each face of the square and fold into a pyramid. Have her pain or draw the stone blocks. Farmerbear at FixYa.com

Why were pyramids built/what were they used for

hi Emmi.
The ancient Egyptians built pyramids as tombs for the pharaohs and their queens. The pharaohs were buried in pyramids of many different shapes and sizes from before the beginning of the Old Kingdom to the end of the Middle Kingdom. There are about eighty pyramids known today from ancient Egypt.

What helped the egyptians build the great pyramid of Giza

If I remember correctly they built ramps around the pyramids and used a lot of workers, many of which were not slaves. This resulted in sevre slow downs in construction at harvest time. They also used rollers under stone and also used many items that modern builders would recognise. Hope this helps.

Pyramid tutorials

Good question, and I cannot answer it... but my first thought is, it is not a perfect pyramid. But, if it were, and I wanted to figure it out, I would do a Google search for volume of a pyramid. I'm sure there is a formula out there. I got V=(l*w*h)/3. I'm too lazy to get out my calculator and there is no pencil and paper handy. Good question though.

The math club has 57 members who are in sixth or seventh grades. There are twice as many sixth graders as seventh graders. How many sixth graders are in the club?

Assume that the letter "a" represents the number of 7th graders.
Since there are twice as many 6th graders we can call them "2a".
There are 57 total members, we can make the following statement:
2a + a = 57
We can simplify this to say 3a = 57.
Divide 57 by 3 = 19. (this is the value of "a")
There are 19 seventh graders and 19 x 2 sixth graders or 38.
38 + 19 = 57
