Depends on your model # - I will need that to provide you an extra assistance:
If your model is....
62PL9524 - YES
62PL9774 - YES

if it is any other model, I will need model number to tell you for sure

On these two models, you would hook r and w audio from the mono out port to the stereo receiver

When I connect the tv to the stereo receiver the sound still comes through the tv in addition to the stereo speakers.

This condition sounds normal, often you need to turn off the speakers in the TV, via menu options on the TV.

I connected my Sony stereo system to the philips

Make sure you turn the tv audio outputs on, use the menu on the tv to do this. Make sure you connect the audio out of the tv to the audio in on the stereo system.

Only 1/2 of my mitsubishi 62 inch dlp tv screen illuminates.

Sounds like one of the light sources has failed or half of the projection source has failed(first is more likely)

If your TV is still on warranty you may want to call them to come pick it up. I doubt you'd want to move this yourself since it weighs over 100lbs

SAME HERE I HAVE A 52 INCH SONY HDTV AND SHUTS OFF CONSTANTLY

Is the tv and receiver in the same cabinet...or an area where the heat from one can affect the other. If so...you may have overheating. Also, be sure that airflow around the TV is good and that any air paths are open (enclosed cabinets can be bad news)

Connection problem

You can connect via a coax cable from the sat. box to VHF input of your TV and tune on ch 3 or 4 or connect via a RGB cable to component input of your TV or a regular Audio/Video composite cable will connect sat. receiver to your TV use yellow color for video and red&white for stereo Audio then choos the connected input on the menue and watch sat.

Connection of HDMI and Directv box

Monlink is the Connection I used with my Directv. All you need to use is the HDMI cords. Are you trying to also connect to stereo system or something other than a straight HDMI connection from Directv Box to WD-62525
