Hello,

I don't think there is anything wrong with your freezer, maybe the bulb's quality is low that's why it does not last.

Also, the bulb might not last as a result of irregular power supply or power outage.

Either of the above is the reason why the bulbs in your refrigerator won't last.

Take care.

The blue temperature light and the green light is flashing on my danby deep freezer. Why is this?

One of these is a power light. It typically remains on while the freezer is in use. No light means either a blown bulb or no power. The other is associated with the thermostat. But it does NOT indicate that freezer temperature is appropriate. Flickering appears to indicate the bulbs are simply failing. The bulbs are neon, I think, and are not cheap. Some might try replacing such with LEDs. I have seen comment that the bulbs are not long lasting. www.manualslib.com has numerous danby freezer manuals but I do not know your model. Have a look.

How do I replace the door light switch?

I appreciate your post, Deborah!

From what you have described you need to replace the door light switch on your Frigidaire freezer. In order to assist you further I would need your model number. You can locate your serial tag (which lists your model number) on the inside wall of your freezer. I look forward to assisting you. -Matt

Light will not go out when door is closes

It sounds like the door switch is sticking in the on position to me>
Does it go out if you manually press door switch with the door open?
If it doesnt then its almost certainly a sticking door switch. You may have to bring this unit completely out of the fridge to look at it and then test it for a permnanently closed contact.

Inside light bulb quit working the bulb is good but doesn't turn on when door opens

Hello Rick Cieri - From what you have described it seems like the unit could possibly be experiencing a wiring failure or communication problem coming from the main control board. Connect with a certified technician to accurately pinpoint any potentially more serious issues.

I have TRUE freezer model number GDM-49F. the compressor start but the evaporator fan wont start what culd be the problem

Could be a number of things. It has a thermistor that sits on the evaporator to keep the fan off until it gets cold. It also has a switch above the door that switches the fan on when the door's closed. It could be a loose connection in the wiring, or, lastly, it could be a seized fan

Door on new Kenmore freezer hard to open ... could this be a leveling problem? I wouldn't think it is an ice build-up problem since the freezer was only installed last Friday (9/24) and the ice maker is...

Check thoroughly for any obstructions, shipping tape, remaining pieces of plastic, in and around the doors, door frame, cabinet frame that the door contacts when closed, and around the upper and lower hinges. Do you hear any noises when opening or closing the door? Do you see the door rubbing on the inside liner as you open or close the door? Were the doors removed and replaced in moving? This last one, if it is the case, check the alignment at the upper hinges, loosen but dont remove the screws, and adjust the door away from center.

Need to change the lightbulb located on the freezer door. Do I turn the bulb counter clockwise or opposite?

Right-tighty, lefty loosey...that would be counter clockwise to remove, clockwise to insert. If the bulb is stuck, you may have to defrost the freezer (I know this sounds a bit extreme) to get it out easier. You may have some ice crystals keeping it lodged in the socket.

Servis fridgefreezer light

IT COULD BE A BAD LIGHT SWITCH, SOCKET OR BULB.
IF THE CONTROL IS ELECTRONIC, SOME REFRIGERATORS WILL SHUT DOWN THE LIGHTS IF THE DOOR IS LEFT OPEN TOO LONG.
BE SURE THE BULB IS SCREWED IN ALL THE WAY. SOMETIMES, THEY WILL WORK LOOSE.
