I get picture on Viber laptop, but no sound. How do I get speakers to work and where can I find the speakers.

Check to see if you a speaker icon in the lower r/h side of the task-bar down by the clock.
If the icon is not there right click on a blank area of the task-bar and left click 'properties'
Left click 'customize'
Scroll down to 'Volume' and select 'Show icon and notifications "
Click 'OK'
Close the 2 properties pop-ups.
Right click on the speaker icon and select 'playback devices'
The 'sound' pop up will appear showing whatever you have connected ( speakers or headset etc)
Make sure the speakers are set as default if you have more than one sound device connected.
The speakers should have a green tick (check ) when they are ready to use
Right click on the speaker icon and select 'Open volume mixer"
Check that the volume slider is above 50% and the speakers are not muted (shown as a red no-entry sign on the speaker icons at the bottom of the sliders' If muted click on the slider speaker icon.
Right click on the speaker icon and select 'playback devices' Put the cursor on the blue graph to the right of the icon, right click and select 'test' All being well the computer speakers will respond.

I am having problems adjusting volume

What type of laptop HP , ASUS , COMPAQ , ACER ?..........
Up the Volume on My HP Laptop
Open the "Start" menu and click on the "Control Panel" icon.
Locate and open the icon that deals with sound.
Depending on your version of Windows, it will say either "Sounds and Audio Devices" or "Adjust System Volume."
Adjust the volume under the "Speakers" icon.
To do this, click on the slider bar and move it up on the slider.
If you need to decrease the volume, simply move the slider bar down.
Click on "OK" when finished and close the "Control Panel" window.
Click on the speaker icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen for a faster volume adjustment. Simply move the slider bar up to increase the volume and move it back down to decrease the volume.

Volume on an Acer Laptop
Acer laptops are typically sold with pre-installed Windows operating systems that offer sound-adjustment features for increasing the volume on the laptop's built-in stereo speakers.
These same functions can also be used in tandem with external speakers or headphones to increase the volume, as well as mute all sound on the laptop.
If the computer should output an unusually low volume, fixing the problem may be no more involved than sliding a control switch with the computer mouse. Click once on the speaker icon in the taskbar on the lower-right corner to open a rectangular window with a slide control.
Click and hold the left mouse button on the slide control to drag it upward, increasing the volume to the laptop's maximum setting.
Click the "Mixer" button below the slider control to open another window with volume controls for "Speakers" and "Applications," adjusting each slide control upward to increase the volume.
Be sure the speaker icon below each control is not accidentally muted.
Click once on each speaker icon to remove the red circle with a slash through it, which will restore audio.
Click the Microsoft flag or "Start" button in the lower-left corner if the shortcut speaker icon is missing from the taskbar.
Click "Control Panel" to select "Adjust Sounds" from the Hardware and Sounds category.

I accidentally delete or lost the Speaker icon next to the clock at the bottom of my computer and cannot get any sounds from the computer whatsoever.please assist. Thank you.

You will want to go to control panel and go to sounds, if you go through the tabs (probably the first) there will be a check box that says 'show sound icon on system tray' enable this and whala.

No sounds

Was the sound working beforehand?
First off try to find a continual source for sound like a music file or movie etc...something that can play while you tweak settings.
As the sound is playing(Make sure the program that is playing the sound file has the volume up, check your Advanced Volume settings by double-clicking your sound icon in the bottom right corner of your screen by your clock. Make sure the sound is set and none of the channels are muted. Next check the volume knob on your speaker and make sure that is turned up. Lastly make sure the speakers are securely connected to the PC in back (follow the cord). The cords are usually color coded, make sure it's plugged into the correct hole.
Good luck!

Sound

Click Start, Settings, Control Panel, then double click the "Sounds and Audio Devices" icon. Make sure the Mute box isn't checked and the Volume bar is at least 1/2 way on the Volume tab. Also click the Speaker Volume tab and adjust the sound there as well if needed. You might also want to check the "Place volume icon in the taskbar" icon so you can easily adjust the sound settings next time.

COMPUTER SPEAKERS

Is there a volume icon in the bottom right hand corner of the screen? If not you need to reinstall the sound card drivers. You can usually download and install these from your PC manufacturer's website (in the suppport section).
