I've run out of the descaling powder Krups sells. Do I have to buy their product? Or can I find a substitute solution that is easier to get locally? Jonna Mackin

take a descaler solution never mind vinegar not strong enought 1part solution 1part water put that in our water container start the machine open valve let it drip for a few second untill you see the solution leave it like that for 10 minute after open the valve and do it again untill emty after you emty the solution clean water container very good fill it with water open the valve rinse very good because that solution is very corosif enjoy cheers
