Most likely the core temperature probe is faulty

PO stands for Power Outage. The fridge lost power for some reason. On my fridge I just hit "acknowledge" and it goes away. I don't own a whirlpool. Per the users manual there is a vaction mode and it is discussed on page 9 of the manual.

The alarms are listed on page 10 of the manual:

The Vacation mode shuts off the fresh food compartment completely and there is not a temp display. The icon is in the lower RH side of the display window and is sleleced with the menu button. Per the manual you should keep depressing the menu button until the Vacation icon is not longer displayed. (Icon is a beach lounger chair and umbrella)

Is just a little switch on inside of the door hinge covers if you short it out the alarms will never go off again.
