My ku990 is constantly switching of and only by opening it an replacing the battery it will switch on again. checked other sites and this appears to be a general problem. please help. how do we inform LG about it I have the same issue with the phone just turning off. There is a problem with this phone and it has nothing to do with the battery. LG needs to come forward and admit that there is an issue.
If you have an issue with short battery life, your camera flash dont work, smell burning near the battery cover clip and sounds like a crackel sound . please send it back to LG as its manafacture issue.

My phone has this same issue. There is definitely a flaw with this phone since there are numerous people having the same issue. LG needs to come forward and admit to the issue and if they are working on a fix.
Same problem! have to remove bettery
two new phones on plans dead three times in 2 weeks. Battery charge shows 3.2 v? is this enough to make it work or is it a phone problem?? It turns itself off overnight and then wont start up. Recharge will make it last one ay then dead overnight again.
Same exact thing as others have described. it randomly switches itself off, I have to remove the battery and replace it to be able to switch it back on. how annoying!!!!

My LG990i also switching off by itself and only by removing the battery and placing back in does the phone switch off,which is so frustrating,lg needs to recall these phones.
it switch off when it has 2lines of baterry an it opens when recharge it...and olso the camera flash dont working and the external memory at the camera mode.
battery is indeed a major flaw.
i am going to get a new battery to see if it'd be better... fingers crossed.
sometimes it randomly turns off after 10mins speaking on the phone
or when browsing wap, browsing files or taking pictures.
is the battery not powerful enough to handle the phones features or something?
and sometimes when it does turn off i can't turn it on for about 30mins!
this is rather dangerous as i travel alone.
soo... i've decided to take my trust samsung old phone with me just in case...
too bad because this is a really good phone and i love it so much
but i hate having to stay connected to the computer or mains in order to use it's features.
this is so annoying.... i can't even talk on the phone for 5 minutes because it turns off randomly by itself !!!! even though it was fully charged.....
can somebody please solve this problem?
