Looking for region free code for a JVC TH-G41 - thanks.

The remotes crop up on eBay, here's one:
JVC RM STHG61J Remote XV THG51 TH G31 TH G41 TH G51 XV THG31 XV THG41...

F1 00 c9 cc 00 0d f0 20 cb 00 is for region 1 its only 1 number differnce there is also a program i can upload for u that makes it region 0 so it plays all its made by LG thats why its so hard

EEPROM for region 4 is F1 00 c9 cc 00 0d f4 20 cb 00 I am trying to find the code for region free or even region 1 if you know it, I have a post on fix ya , cheers Manuel

You can go into the setup screen on the DVD player and set the region to 2. But note that you can normally only change the region about 5 times and then you can't change it anymore.

To my knowledge, due to firmware design, most JVC region locked DVD players can not be unlocked with entry codes through the remote. While some JVC models could be unlock with a firmware update or a PC interface neither of which is available for a TH-P3.

Im sorry but thats just it for this model.

Alternately, a long method is to convert/copy the DVD disc itself from any region to whatever region your JVC is locked into. There are freewares just for this purpose. An example is DVD SHRINK 3.2.
