I turn on my computer running Windows 7 on an HP Laptop and am prompted to allow or disallow "hpzsetup.exe" to make changes to the computer (I have an HP Photosmart C4795 printer). When i click "No" a second window pops ups asking me to "Retry" or "Cancel" the installation. When I click cancel the first window comes up again. When I click "Yes" on the first window, the HP program begins to install but then quickly it tells me a fatal error has occurred. It says it is uninstalling itself and when it is done with that it asks me to restart the computer and tells me to refer to error situation code 06111169. After I restart, the first window opens again prompting me to allow or disallow "hpzsetup.exe" to make changes on the computer, starting the whole process over again.

How to fix hp laptops

Step one: Turn your computer on, booting from either your Windows 7 Installation DVD or Windows 7 System Recovery Disc. Remember, you may need to change the boot order inside your BIOS to have the your DVD drive boot first.
Step two: After the installation or recovery disc loads, if prompted, select your language settings and then continue. If you are using the installation DVD, when prompted by the following screen select Repair your computer.
Step three: The computer will take a moment now to scan itself for any Windows installations, after which you will likely be given a choice to select which installation you wish to repair. Select the appropriate Windows installation from the list and then continue. If by chance a problem is detected in one of your Windows installations at this initial stage, the system may also ask you if it can try to repair the problem automatically. It is up to you if you wish to let the system try to repair itself, but otherwise just select No.
Step four: Once you have reached the System Recovery Options screen, as shown below, you will be faced with a list of choices that can aid you in repairing a damaged Windows 7 operating system. If you wish to try the Startup Repair option first, it is often successful in automatically fixing many different start up issues, but in this article we will be using the Command Prompt option to resolve our problems manually. So, click Command Prompt to continue.
Step five: Now sitting at the command prompt, enter the following command and then press enter:
The above command will scan all your disks for other operating systems compatible with Windows 7 and allow you to add them to your system's boot list. If this fails, you may need to backup the old BCD folder* and create a new one in its place with the following commands:
bootrec.exe /RebuildBcd

Password Recovery, cannot get on to my Packard bell easy note as I cannot remember my new password and it isnr accepting my old one either, i have tried for almost 3 evenings to get on to it but it wont...

First you have to get administrator privileges (if you already do, Ignore this) but when starting up your computer get into recovery mode (Esc then F11, or whatever you have to do in the startup menu). If you have HP support on your computer, click the center panel and go into command prompt cmd prompt you cd to System32 folder on windows 7 (like C:\Windows\System32). you do that, then follow this order very carefully: copy cmd.exe cmd1.exe then rename sethc.exe sethc1.exe then rename cmd1.exe sethc.exe then get out of recovery mode, but typical people have NORMAL COMPUTERS. when you try to recover, hit cancel when asked about system restore. When the error message pops up, click on the details, open the text doc, and click save as. In that window, you browse to C:\Windows\System32 and basically do what you can do in the cmd prompt. copy cmd.exe, rename sethc.exe, then rename cmd.exe's copy to sethc.exe, then reboot normally. at the login screen, trigger sticky keys (hit shift many times) which brings up the command prompt. You can type explorer.exe in it to bring up SYSTEM's taskbar, which probably has internet explorer on it. That is the only browser that works on it. Warning: it may disappear randomly and make your computer slower. But SYSTEM has admin privs! do as you please. But to get your password changed, use the command prompt, type net user "USERNAME" * in order to reset your password. You are welcome.

HP Color Laser Jet printer CM1312nfi: scanner no longer working; when I try to scan, receive error on printer:scanning error, cannot connect. Printer is networked. This error occures only on a networked...

Go to your network and sharing center. Choose homegroup and sharing options. Change advanced sharing settings. Under your home or work profile, scroll down to file sharing connections. Switch to enable file sharing for devices that use 40 or 56 bit encryption. If that does not work, under password protected sharing, select "turn off password protected sharing". This is not recommended if you use your computer in multiple locations (laptop). I have found that turning all of these features off, running a scan from the printer successfully and then turning them back on, Windows seems to be comfortable allowing the printer to connect to the computer.
