Can you add a full model number? I am having trouble finding the manual from the information given. From other oven manuals from simpson, it sounds like the clock is programmable when power is first supplied, so unplug the unit, wait a few minutes, and plug it back in. Then press the - and + buttons to set the time. 5 seconds after the last change the time will be set.

I have just replaced mine & had the same problem. I couldnt remove the cover. I found that I just couldnt grip the cover well enough. I got some rubber washing up gloves & used them to grip the cover. It was still tight but it un skrewd quite easy this way.
