Same problem. Other boards all say check router, connection - mostly answers from people who don't know what they are talking about.
Doesn't seem to be a solution for it from nintendo right now

SOURCE: error code 32004 when trying to update WII store

Hello there!
First of all, this might just be a problem with the Nintedo servers. They may be busy.

Try the following:

  • Check for wireless interference, which can affect the signal strength to the Wii console. To help minimize wireless interference, try the following:
    • Make sure other wireless devices such as cordless phones or wireless speakers are turned off, and that the Wii console is an open area without objects or electronics blocking the signal. (For instance, if the Wii is placed in a crowded entertainment center, try moving the Wii somewhere with more room.)
    • Change your router's channel setting to 1 or 11. By default, most routers broadcast on channel 6, which overlaps with other channels and may be weaker. For help doing this, click here and select your router brand and model (if available). The information you need is found in the "Broadcast Channel:" area.

  • Manually change your Wii console's DNS settings. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Access the Wii system settings (how to), and use the right arrow twice and select "Internet."
    2. Select "Connection Settings," and choose the connection file (1, 2, or 3) that are you are currently using.
    3. Select "Change settings" and click the right arrow 3 times to reach "Auto-Obtain DNS."
    4. Select "No," and choose "Advanced Settings."
    5. Click into the "Primary DNS" field and enter: 008.008.008.008
    6. Click into the "Secondary DNS" field and enter: 008.008.004.004
    7. Select "Confirm," and then "Save."
    8. Select "OK" to start the connection test. Once the test finishes, try to download the update again.
Hopefully you get connected and are able to enjoy some movies with Netflix! Good luck!

Wii disc error

If you have the wii disc error that might be because of error code 32004. It could be possibly error code 32004. If you have internet on the Wii and if so if you Wii format it again then you'll see this problem because the Wii update asks you to update it. In the update message it said at least,"Not updating this could cause future game disk problems when playing games." Im not sure how to really fix it but this just the problem. Solution has to do with you either hacking the wii or certain cases. Buy a new Wii or see if you can fix it using Nintendos support.

Error code 32004

we need to start from square one... let's do this

Power on your Wii console and press the A Button on the Wii Remote to reach the Wii main menu. Use the Wii Remote to select the "Wii" button.

Now, select "Wii Settings" to access the "Wii System Settings" menu.

Using the arrow on the right side of the screen, scroll to page two and select "Internet."

Select "Connection 1: None"

(Don't see "None" in Connection 1? Click the Connection 1 button, then choose "Clear Settings.")

Click on "Wireless Connection" and then "Search for an Access Point."

(Are you using a wired Internet connection to your Wii console?

Select "OK" and the Wii will display all the wireless networks it finds.

Select the wireless network that is yours.

If you are prompted to "Enter the Password or Key," then the wireless network you are trying to connect to has wireless security turned on. You will need to type in your security key or password and select "OK."

Select "OK," "Save Settings," and then "Yes."

The Wii console will run a connection test with your wireless network when the test is completed. You should see the following screen:

As long as you see "The connection test was successful," the "Wii Support Code" does not matter and can be ignored

The connection test was successful - Then you're almost done! After your connection test, the Wii console will check if there is a new Wii System Update available. Once you select "Yes" and "I Accept," the Wii will begin to download any available updates. Click here to find out what's next!

The connection test was not successful - If the test was not successful, you will receive an error code.

Error Code 51330 or 52130: This means the security code you entered into the Wii is not the same one your router is set to. Look in your router's settings and try again.

As a last resort... 1. reset your router or 2. temporarily remove the password from your router... this way you will know where the problems lies.

Thanks

I keep trying to update my will an it says error code :32004 how do i update my will

This indicates an interruption during the Wii Update procedure.
First off, check for any wireless interference. Anything that uses wireless capabilities near your Wii, turn it off or move it to another location.

The next step you can try is changing the channel of your router. By default, your router's channel is set to share with that of other wireless devices on a very weak signal. Since I don't know the brand of your router, I'll need to direct you to Nintendo's website for assistance with this:
http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/wfc/en_na/routers/index.jsp
You can also try manually changing the DNS Settings on your Wii console. Here are some step-by-step instructions on doing this:
Access the Wii system settings (how to), and use the right arrow twice and select "Internet."
  • Select "Connection Settings," and choose the connection file (1, 2, or 3) that are you are currently using.
  • Select "Change settings" and click the right arrow 3 times to reach "Auto-Obtain DNS."
  • Select "No," and choose "Advanced Settings."
  • Click into the "Primary DNS" field and enter: 8.8.8.8
  • Click into the "Secondary DNS" field and enter: 8.8.4.4

  • If that doesn't work, change your DNS settings back to the way they were. Nintendo's servers could just be busy. If this is an update that just came out there could be a lot of people trying to download it at once. If this is the case, try waiting a couple of hours and then trying again.

    Error code 32004

Error Code: 32004 Please check the following:
    1. Satellite Internet often causes this Error Code. You must have a cable or DSL internet connection. Other connection types, such as dial-up and satellite, are typically not compatible. Contact your Internet Service Provider if you are not sure what type of internet connection you have.
    2. Ours servers may be trying to handle an unusually high amount of traffic (especially if a new Wii update is available). Please wait a few hours and try the connection again later.
    3. Does your internet service provider (ISP) require that you log in whenever you wish to use the internet? If so, your ISP may not be compatible with the Wii console. Please contact your ISP for additional information.
If you are still unable to connect, and have waited a few hours, please try the following:
How are you attempting to connect your Wii console online?
      Wireless Router:

    1. Adjust the Wii's manual settings. Click here for more information.
    2. Try adjusting the "Channel" your wireless router broadcasts on. We highly recommend setting your wireless router to either channel 1 or 11. Be sure to try both channels if the first one you try does not work. This can potentially increase the download speed. For information on accessing your router's settings, click here to select the brand name and model number of your router (if available). (The "Channel" setting is typically found in the "Wireless" section of your router's setup utility.)

    3. If adjusting the "Channel" did not work, please review our "Slow Download Times or Errors Received While Connecting" troubleshooting tips by clicking here.

    4. Try temporarily disabling your router's firewall.* Are you using a Netgear brand wireless router? Our expeirence shows disabling the "SPI Firewall" of the router may help the connection. The "SPI Firewall" option is typically found under the "WAN Setup" tab of the router's settings. For information on accessing your router's settings, please click here and select the model of the Netgear router you own (if available).
    5. If you are still receiving this error code, please click here for assistance.

      Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector

    1. Does your PC have any security programs (firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-adware, etc.) installed? If you are using the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector, and have a software firewall or other computer security program installed on your computer, there may be additional steps you must complete to allow a successful connection.
        "Trusted" Applications:
If your firewall or PC security program keeps a list of trusted applications (also known as a "trusted zone"), the following programs are installed with the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector, and require internet communications. If prompted by your firewall or PC security program, add these to the list of trusted applications. This information may also apply to certain computer security applications, such as anti-virus, anti-spyware, etc.:
        • Nintendo Wi-Fi Connector USB (NintendoWFCReg.exe)
        • Setup.exe (when installing the USB Connector)
        • SoftAPInstDrv.bin
        • mdriver.exe
    2. If you are using a router, you may need to temporarily disable the router's firewall to allow the Wii console to connect online and receive a system update. Once the update is received, you can turn the firewall back on. For information on locating and disabling your router's firewall, please consult the router's manual or contact the manufacturer of the router.
    3. If you are still receiving this error code, please click here for assistance.
*While Nintendo provides this information for our consumers' use, it is up to each consumer to determine what security needs they have for their own networks, and to decide how best to configure their network settings to meet those needs.
    Please check the following:
