You can get the Special Code for your T-Mobile Sidekick SLIDE at low cost from the site Wickedunlock.com here you also need to specify the IMEI number of your phone.Then they deliver the code to you through mail.Using that code you can unlock your phone easily.After unlocking it,you can use freely any GSM Network SIM card on your phone.This is the easy and permanent unlocking method.
you actually need to unlock your phone to use the simcard not just a code. boost mobile and tmobile run and different networks to its not as simple as putting in a different sim card.
once it says to enter your "special code" you hit cancel and it enables the sim pin. then you go to change sim pin, put in your old sim pin and put in a new one. then go to network settings and select "scan and select manually". once you find at&t click done and you can use the sidekick.
Could be the PUK (Pin UnlocK code) which your provider will have. Could be a handset restriction code ie, if you are putting another carriers sim in a phone that is 'locked' to a specific carrier. Again, provider will help you with this on;
OR, could be anything, we really need more info, what screen, what is it asking, what are the surrounding circumstances.
