My TV restarts by itself automatically and then continually rotates from TV to Dish to DVD to on screen set up. When I turn off the TV manually the TV restarts as previously stated. I cannot turn the TV off with the hand held remote. I have tried unpluging the TV, taking the batteries out of the remote. I have not yet replaced the batteries in the hand control.

My tv will play sound, but no picture. The picture is just a scrolling fuzzy/static screen. My dvd player works fine, but the dish receiver will not show picture. Please help!!

Hi kristin_mell,

If you are hearing audio but no picture unplug the receiver for 10 seconds and plug back in. This will reset the receiver and it will reboot itself for you once plugged in. This should resolve the issue, but if you continue to experience problems please e-mail me at nick.franta@dishnetwork and we may need to replace the receiver.

How do I get closed captioning on my 625 dish dvr.

Guest,

The 625 receiver does not have a setting to control closed caption. This is a setting from your TV itself. I would look at your TV manual to see how you can turn the feature on. I hope this helps.

Dish dvr625 will not get satelite reception.

nbarber25,

If your receiver is rebooting itself and you have unplugged the receiver from the electrical outlet, you may have a problem with the receiver. Please call 1-800-333-3474 and speak with technical support, we may need to replace the receiver.

My HL-S4666W's screen picture freeze whenever I turn it on

If the tv has a built in discoder, it is the decoder at faulty, bypass the decoder using a dvd player, and if that plays then it will prove the decoder fault, the dvd signal is stronger than an external source, oh, by the way, unplug any source of dish/arial etc to the decoder, giving the dvd master control of the tv

If the sat feed is on channel 3, and the TV is tuned in and still does not get the feed, check the feed wire to be okay. If all is okay, there is a possiblity that the tuner module in the set has failed.

Continuous Channel Searching & Power Button Issues

What source are you using? If cable, you should only be able to pickup channel 3 or 4 if you're using the box. If there is no antenna, that would be the only other answer if the set checks out...accordianman

Memorex MVD2019 programing remote control

Try "auto search" with your remote. Normally you press the dish button and the "OK/Select" button simultaneously for about 3 seconds untill the dish light burns steady. Then press "channel up" one press at a time until the dish turns off. When it turns off, then press "power" on your remote and if the dish comes back on, test the other functions such as volume and mute. If all functions work, then press the "dish" button one more time to save the code and then you are "in business". If functions do not work, then continue to press "channel up" until the dish shuts off a second time. Then press "power" and test all functions. Continue repeating this until you find a code that enables all desired functions. Hope this helps.
