SOURCE: i cant find the driver

Download from this link here. According to their technical announcements the windows XP driver works on Vista and 7. There are 2 variations of the driver but not enough information from your question for me to determine which so download this one first and try it. Although they affirm their driver will work in Vista and 7 I would only install the driver and not the whole software suite. Windows does a fine job managing the wireless connection anyway.

Awlh3026 on dell dimension 8300

here's a link at end of this message u can use to read or obtain the 3026 card's manual. or just go to manufacture's site ,,airlink.com, click tab to go to support page and do a search for ur model , then find and download the zip file for the OEM drivers and setup/config utility, extract the compressed file to ur hard drive, be sure u pay attention as to where it is going to be extracted to, then turn ur PC off, power down all the way ,, insert card into the board slot, secure it properly,, restart PC, and when new hardware install screen pops up for the auto detection asking u if u want to install drivers, be sure to click cancel, do not continue with install at this time,,, the window will close,,,then go to folder where u extracted the software files, click setup icon, when it finishes,it will close and restart PC, when it reboots, u should see the Windows lan network connection icon on lower right of screen.. left click it , go to config tab, and remove the default check from box on upper left corner of that window to disable windows from doing any of the card install or config of the wireless connection, Very important**,,, note,,, absolutly no way,, that, both of the utility programs can be enabled or run at same time,, will not work with 2 bosses,, meaning both the airlink setup/config utility and the default windows networking program.,,, this link to read smaller 4 page manual it will explain in detail,,, or u can also locate and download the original larger 20+ page instruction manual at the airlink site as well,,, I just installed same card into a Dell Dimension 8200 last night,,,, had a hell of a time myself,, totally failed at figuring it out per the usual/norm standard installs,, that is,,until I finally did the research,, determined the error was made when initially installing the drivers at detection using the plug n play from windows instead of clicking "cancel" button , as required,,at time of detection of card...then doing the complete install, setup, . and config using only the downloaded OEM Airlink software. Be sure to download the awlh3026_util_drv_winme/xp zip file download that is clearly marked for XP operating systems, two are aailable for xp,, u will need both the drivers and the utility as well as the manual download,,, and only trust software downloads if obtained from the official manufacturer's site ,, heres one set of instruction manual u can go read right now without downloading it to help explain quickly
hope this helps

Have an airlink card bus

If you have access to change the wireless routers channel do that. Log onto your router from the wired connection probably 192.168.x.1 (x is your subnet, find this by going to run>type cmd>hit enter>type ipconfig>hit enter the gateway IP should be your router

type that ip in a browser i.e. http://192.168.x.1 and log in go to wireless settings and find the channel option. usually you'll want to keep it at 1,6, or 11

(if your wireless utility doesn't show channels) go to your wireless pc and install netstumbler > install it > click the scan button and you should see all of access points around you. choose a channel that is used the least between 1, 6 and 11 and save that as your new channel on the router, as you are probably getting a lot of interference.

second try using the built in windows utility instead of the airlink one

also
update network drivers
update router firmware
don't sit around large metal objects :)
