Cracked Screen Can you guys help me for repairing a cracked screen? I asked SanDisk and they said they don't do repairs, they told me to go to a local electronic store to ask them if they can fix it, but i don't any places that can fix mp3s.

A cracked windscreen would be auto repair.
A cracked TV screen would be TV repair.
A cracked cell phone screen would be Cell phone repair.
A cracked movie screen would be movie screen repair.
A cracked screen door would be screen door repair.
There seems to be a pattern here.

If the screen is cracked, there is no other way to repair it, rather than replacing it. Replacing the screen will cost around 2/3rd of the total cost of the TV. Screen cracking will not come under warranty, as it is not the fault with the company which manufactured it.

Just bring it in to a local store that sells laptops and ask them where the have their laptops repaired locally.

You no longer have a TV but a parts unit. In most cases, It will cost more to replace the screen than buying a new TV set. Although it is cracked, it still has some value, don't toss it in the dump. Throw that puppy on Craigslist or Ebay(if you have the shipping box) someone will be interested and buy it. Just be realistic with your asking price. Don't be like some lady I encountered who wanted $350 for her Dynex 42" LCD with a cracked screen !!!

I broke the screen on my e200 series 6gb so I asked Sansa tech support about it and I was told that Sansa does not own any repair or support facilities whatsover. This means that you really can't get it fixed without either buying a new one or getting it replaced altogther.

Sorry to hear about the screen on your Sansa E250 MP3 player. It sounds like the Liquid Crystal Display screen has broken. It's possible that the damage is repairable but to be honest due to the high cost of electronic repair it may not actually be cost effective to do so.

Ask the manufacturer what their cost of repair is - unlike with cars, the manufacturer usually has the best price. If it is better than the cost of getting a new one - go for it.

Unfortunately you wont be able to fix the crack screen..you will have to get a new MP3 player...

Either contact these guys; https://www.magellangps.com/users/ssl_login.asp or at the top of the page is a "find a dealer" link if you prefer to get it done locally. Possible lower cost solution is try local repair shops/second hand shops or ask the local garbage guys (people rarely ask and they can often drop one round the following day)- they just might have the same unit with a good screen but unrepairable for other reasons. You could get lucky. Hope this helps :)
