Have a rumble at about 90-110 klm.done propshaft,axle bearings,new tyres rims,new gearbox oil seal &bush. when in netral at that speed noise dissapears. Could it be a worn diff or gearbox. gear change is still smooth.More than 110 klm its smooth. van has done 136 000 klm and has full service history. HELP this is costing me now , i might as well have sold it and got a later model

Propeller (or driveshaft) will transmit noise check the joints at both ends for binding or rust (best done with it out of the car)

SOURCE: Noise from rear wheel area that sounds like bearing noise.

Might want to check your camber adjustments and look into shocks and struts. They could all be worn out but prolly the camber is off causing abnormal road noise and abnormal tire wear

this easy, drain oil from gear box remove that drive shaft (u need a ball joint splitter)
replace gearbox seal, pry out old 1 with screw driver, gently tap new in, oil edge of new seal 1st. replace oil, ps dont leave to long as will damage gearbox when lack of oil

it usually is the tensioner replace it

SOURCE: I purchased 1500cc NISSAN Sunny 1996 model Car.

20/50 ,cheapest oil and change every 6000mile with oil filter every third oil change ,as for hold back ?=?could be anything under the bonnet causing this
