Our water pressure stopped overnite, we hit the reset button and heard the clicking in the box but no pumping or pressure increase, after several tries the water pressure suddenly kicked up and worked, has for three days, now, after a washing of clothes no pressure -same problem but this time no kick in of pressure pump, the power box is clicking on and off to no avail Ideas?

could be several things that cause this. I would first try increasing the spread between the upper and lower limits. it they are set too close together you can get this kind of bouncing on and off. Also, how old is the switch? as they age they get less and less accurate at reading the pressure accurately and this could be the problem. Longer shot, could be a leak in the well check valve. Water leaking back down into the well and that keeps turning the pump back on when there are no faucets open.

The water pressure is adjusted with the pressure switch, which turns the pump on and off. The pressure switch is typically set for a cut-in and cut-out pressure of 20-40 psi, or 30-50 psi. Usually there are adjustment directions on the inside of the switch cover. But, there are several other factors that may affect the house pressure. If there is a pressure tank that is pre-charged, the tank pressure may need to be reset, or the tank bladder may be ruptured. Have the entire system checked out.

CLEAN FRESH WATER IS IMPORTANT FOR THESE PUMPS, I ALWAYS USE A HIT OF ARMOR ALL IN THE PUMP AFTER USE . YOU MIGHT SEE IF IT'S GETTING POWER TO THE MOTOR MIGHT HAVE A BAD GFIC ? PLUG IT IN PICK UP THE UNIT AND TRY DROPPING IT FROM A FOOT OFF THE GROUND, THIS JAR MIGHT SHOCK IT BACK TO LIFE ?

Its well water I presume. Thats the nature of the beast. Only way to really remedy this is to increase pressure or volume

FL is a flow error, you may not have enough water going over filter housing. Jets are they open?
is your heater fitted with a pressure switch? when on FL locate pressure switch wheel and turn all the way anti clockwise until it stops then slowly wind back until you hear a click reset in control box - you have reset pressure switch.
If you have done this and still show FL or heater is not fitted with pressure switch then your LOW speed on pump maybe faulty (new pump) or heater maybe scaled up with lime scale and reducing water flow through heater - remove scale from heater, flush through and increase ANTI-SCALE

Your belt is likely broken. Pop the top (held down by spring clips) to inspect. If you see it - try to lift it. If you can not lift it it is ok. If not ok, remove the front cover for complete access to the drive.

was you using the machine on a electic extension & was it full unwoven.
chance thermal overload in switch knocked out.
there is also a little micro switch on the bypass valve that might be stucking , just in clip and test.

Replaced the pressure switch and water pressure returned to normal.
