Where can I get repair parts for aFreud FT2000E. I need a power switch and a speed controler.

You can contact Freud directly, they do have large U.S. operation and carry most spares. The Parts and Repair department is (800) 334-4107 to order the parts you need.

You can find a part diagram and parts list on-line. Just enter the model #. The variable speed control module is no longer available. You can bypass the control, and connect the router directly. You will no longer be able to control the speed, or turn off the router. I used a variable 15A control box instead. It will function the same way.
You may want to just replace the router with a new up-to date router, I just purchased a 2 1/2HP Skil router kit tah has a 1/2 chuck, and both a plunger base a flat base, for $100 at a big box store.

I have a FT2200 with a bad speed control unit 76348.
8015. Freud no longer supplies this part. I bypassed it, and I am using an external variable speed control supply. The only setback is there is no longer "Torque Control". This presents a problem if the bit burns, but I control the speed of feed. So for, I am getting by. A new one is TOO expensive.

Your problem is in the speed control module located under the cap.
Because it is a sealed unit it is not repairable.
But they are replaceable.If you can let me know the colour of the cap I will let you know which one you need.
They made some changes so the colour is important.

Freud has been bought out by Bosch and their tools are being fazed out.
I think your speed control module went on the fritz not your switch.
The speed module is still available and the switch to.
If you would like a quote I would be happy to oblige all I need is the colour of the cap,the serial number and make sure of the model.

First check the power suply cord(conductivity),the on/off switch, the fan and the armature,the brushes and the wires.
