Refrigerator (Samsung RS2555SL) quit cooling on both sides. Front panel was blinking at set temperatures (34 fridge side/0 freezer side) but inside was warm. I unplugged for 5 min and ran self-diagnostic test. No codes returned during 30 seconds. It reset itself to 74 deg/freezer side and 70 deg/fridge side. Stayed on for an hour and no change in temperature, but no longer blinking on front. Need help.

The temp says 14 and 8 but should be -21 and 3? Can anyone help

Controlling the Freezer temperature
The freezer temperature can be set between -14°C (8°F) and -25?C (-14°F) to suit your particular needs. Press the freezer button repeatedly until the desired temperature is shown in the temperature display. Keep in mind that foods like ice cream may melt at -16?C (4°F). The temperature display will move sequentially from -14°C (8°F) and -25?C (-14°F). When the display reaches -14?C (8°F), it will begin again at -25?C (-14°F). Five seconds after the new temperature is set the display will again show the actual current
freezer temperature. However, this number will change as the Freezer adjusts to the new temperature. The top and bottom guards in the freezer of this model are the two star sections, so the
temperature in two star sections are slightly higher than other freezer compartment.

Controlling the Fridge temperature
The refrigerator temperature can be set between 7?C (45°F) and 1?C (34°F) to suit your particular needs. Press the fridge button repeatedly until the desired temperature is shown in the
temperature display. The temperature control process for the Fridge works just like the Freezer process. Press the fridge button to set your desired temperature. After a few seconds, the Fridge will
begin tracking towards the newly set temperature. This will be reflected in the digital display. The temperature of the freezer or the refrigerator may rise from opening the doors too frequently, or if a large amount of warm or hot food is placed in either side. This may cause the digital display to blink. Once the freezer and refrigerator return to their normal set temperatures the blinking will stop.
If the blinking continues, you may need to "reset" the refrigerator. Try unplugging the appliance, wait about 10 minutes and then plug back in.

The refrigerator does not work at all or it does not chill sufficiently.
• Check that the power plug is properly connected.
• Is the temperature control on the display panel set to the correct
temperature? Try setting it to a lower temperature.
• Is the refrigerator in direct sunlight or located too near a heat source?
• Is the back of the refrigerator too close to the wall and therefore keeping air from circulating?

I have a samsung RS2578BB side by side refrigerator. my problem is .. the fridge side is not cooling sufficienlty , even after i set the fridge temperature between 46 F and 34 F. At first, the panel...

this is a common fault, you need to replace the defrost heater and thermal cut-out in the fridge section behind the salad buckets, a temporary fix for a few weeks is to switch the whole thing off at the wall and leave the fridge and freezer doors open for at least 24hrs to allow the frozen up evaporator to defrost.

My samsung ref rs2555sl stopped cooling. The temperature display for both freezer and fridge on the front keeps flashing. What do I need to do?

Most of the time if you unplug it from the power source for about 10-15 minutes will reset fridge computer and when you plug it back everything get back to normal.

Samsung double door refrigerator/freezer is not holding the tempature in the refrigerator. When you attempt to reset the temperature and press "power cool" nothing... temp remains around 56 The freezer...

I just had (have?) this same problem. I called out the repair man and in the end he suggested that I buy a new fridge because of all the problems reported with my model (RS2555SL) on the internet. Anyway, after a while I heard what sounded like a fan trying to spin on the fridge side. I unplugged the unit, removed the inside back panel on the fridge side. The entire coils and the fan had iced over. I removed all the ice, plugged the unit back in and it is now working. I will still replace this unit because I probably only corrected the symptom but the problem remains.

I have the same symptom too - freezer temperature flashes at -2. "Power Freezer" or setting it to any other temperature is not working either.
As a result, no ice being made. Please help!

Refrigerator not cooling

Open the panel in the freezer, and take a hair dryer to the frozen coil.
