unplug, take out battery then hold power button for 30 seconds then plug back in and turn on if the3 laptap gos on without the battery you need a new battery
Force off by pressing the power button for 10 seconds or more. Boot into safe mode, type msconfig in the run line, disable everything that starts. Restart normally, re-enable each program untill you find the one giving trouble.
Hold down the power button for 10 seconds. That will hard-shut the PC. Once that is done, fire it back up, and try again. Somethimes, windows will act goofy shutting down. Especially Vista when it is left on too long without shutting it down.
turn on the laptop,,, keep pressing F8 a menu screen will appear,, select SAFE MODE using the cursor keys and hit enter,, once it boots in safe mode click no to use system restore.. follow the onscreen instructions to send it back to a date when it did work,, it will shut it self down and restart in a propper manner..
if that fails,,
when u turn on the laptop it displays a menu,, it shows to press a certin key to enter system recovery,, press that key,, follow the onscreen instructions to restor the laptop to factory condition..
Have you tried this: 1. After removing the battery 2. Press and hold the power button for at least 10 sec. 3. Put back the battery 4. Turn it on
if this doesnt work, there could be a problem with your operating system. Try accessing safe mode if you can login .TAP F8 continously on the dell logo screen, and it will open advance boot options. (Just select safe mode) If safe mode boots properly try running system restore to restore it back to the previous date where your computer is still booting to windows. Hope this helps
when your dell is start keep hitting the f8 key then boot into safe mode.do a virus scan.if clean then move down to last knowin good config.if that dont work you may have to reformat ur computer or try repair.
Try reseating the RAM memory modules, see if any change.
If no change, remove, battery, Drives, Wireless card and RAM, see if the system will run longer or give an error code. If something changes, add 1 RAM module and try again. If the system runs, then add items back one at a time until you determine the faulty item.
If the system issue doesn't change, odds are a motherboard problem. Motherboard are about $100 on Ebay
try booting to the SAFE MODE (F8 at boot) and see if you can log in to the ADMIN account from the safe mode. If you can, then create a new user profile, then reboot to normal mode and try booting to the NEW profile. If that works, then the old profile is likely corrupt
