Need to provide moreinfo.
is the server (prolaint DL380) constantly rebooting within BIOS mode or has it got to the stage of running windows.
The other item not mentioned here, is, IF the raid controller has failed, you will not see any disks initializing and would cause the system to continually reboot.
If it is an internal raid controller, it is part of the motherboard, you will need to contact HP to have it replaced.

If an pci related array controller .. i.e. separate to the motherboard, this will need to be replaced to see the HDD's.
Either way sounds like a hardware issue. Best to liaise directly with vendor to have the faulty components replaced.

RAID 1+0 configured on HP DL 380 G6 with two SCSI disks, if one disk gets faulty and new disk inserted how much time will it take to sync/rebuild with the booted diks?

It depends upon the amount of data that is stored on the good hard disk. The greater amount of data the longer the time it will take..
The computer will still operate but it will be slower than usual until then data has finished synchronizing to the new hard disk.

I bought Few HP proliant DL 380 G4 servers....they do not have any operating system...i want to install windows server 2000 but it keeps giving me a message " "Setup didnt find any hard drives...

Hello,

First, make sure all your connections are secure and the BIOS is seeing your hard drives. When you start the install of Server 2000, you will see a prompt at the bottom of the screen saying if you have third party software to install press any key. (or something to that effect.) Press any key and install the needed software drives for the SCSI controller. You will need this to move forward. If you do not have the drivers, you will need to download them to a cd or usb drive to complete your server install.

Good Luck.

Unfortunately, this is most likely a bad system board. Have you tried to RDP or telnet to the machine after it boots? That is, assuming you have some form of remote access enable of course.

Hello , HP Proliant Server Problem.

Use a different monitor and connect it directly to the server, if problem persist you have a problem with the systemboard or microprocessor.

I have a HP DL 380 server and its configured as domain controler.... and has a raid5 configration .while we are woking it makes a restart and when its restarted windows was unable to boot asking for NTLDLR...

Are you able to get into the array configuration and make sure the logical drive is still intact? If the logical drive is gone, then your partition may be lost. If you are able to recover the logical drive in your array (which you should be able to if the RAID5 striping was stable) then you should be able to recover your data. You can get into the array configuration during the boot up sequence.
